Best. Services. Ever. Always make a point of stopping at Tebay if I'm on the M6. Love the farm shop. Some great products. This time we only used the quick service coffee outlet. The coffee was goodish for the UK. But my standards have been raised by living abroad so it's hard to hold this against Tebay. Cafe has been good on previous visits. A much higher standard than any other service station. When you visit Tebay it's easy to forget the motorway.

Definitely amongst my favourite service areas. This is a services with a difference. With its own farm shop selling all sorts of lovely foods, it a great place to go to and buy the ingredients for a picnic or snack of your own. If you're not so inclined, they also have ready made packaged produce to take away. There's also the usual restaurant and café, though not from any of the chains, which is also an improvement. The facilities were equal to the best that are available at other services. Parking was on different levels as the site is on a hill, but they are mostly level. Situated at one of the most attractive areas of motorway, the scenery is also worth taking time to look at.

Best service station I've stopped at on the UK motorway network (alongside it's northbound counterpart). Excellent hot food to go, especially the pies! And the farm shop is filled with great local produce. Well worth a stop if on any journey along the northern stretch of the M6

An excellent motorway service area much better than the normal. Very good cafe/dining area with excellent views of the surrounding countryside. Good choice of take away food from in house butcher, cheese and pie counter. Selection of gifts stalls. Clean restroom and ample free car parking spaces. Worth a rest stop when travelling south on M6

Very convenient services that are, I think, privately owned and run. The facilities are excellent and homely, including, as they do, a farm shop that is well stocked with freshly prepared and home cooked foods. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The cafe/restaurant is the best I have seen, getting away from the large chain franchises that are so common nationally. The services easily accommodate trucks as well, and I can recommend stopping there for a travel break and refreshment without reservation, especially as I didn't spot an awful one-armed bandit amusement arcade! Perhaps someone will correct me if I'm wrong?
