Excellent service station much better than the usual motorway stop. None of your usual chain store outlets. Excellent food hall selling local fresh meat both cooked and raw, cheese, pies and other produce. Very good eating areas with comprehensive menu. Splendid views of the surrounding area for dining area with optional outside seating. Large free car parking. Very good place for a driving break but allow plenty of time to enjoy the experience. Definitely a good rest area.

This is a place to visit on its own. Good food. Very pleasant to chill out. The food shop is just great especially if you want something a tad different. Lots of artisan goods. The gift shop is just great too.

Friendly staff but can't really understand how is it possible that such an easy meal (veggie burger) could be so terrible. Never had such a bad burger in my life. Veggie burger by Tebay is bun and burger made from groats and salt. No cheese, no salad no tomatoes, no dressing. Just bun and groats. It used to be one of my favourite places to stop coming from South to North however I doubt that I will stop here for anything more than tea or coffee.

The best motorway services by far!Fantastic food. Lovely farm shop with all local produce. All set in lovely grounds. Well worth a visit. Would recommend.

We have stopped at this place quite a few times and never really took the time to try what they had to offer. We always just wanted some normal crisps and chocolate for the car but they didn't have it so we wrote it off as a boring services. The last time we went here we decided to get some food and... By God it was actually amazing food. I'm now looking forward to the next trip down south so we can stop here. I highly recommend this place and regret writing it off.
