I've been watching a Swan family over the last 7 months or so and seen quite a few different species of bird life. Also the Quarry Gardens is the quietest place you will find in the town. The walls block out the noise so go there to meditate and read or something ! ...it has a little Cafe there called the boat house that's run by church volunteers and is very much appreciated for their effort. £1 for a cup of tea ! I'll take that all day.

Made the mistake of visiting Sherdley Park when this gem is down the road! There is a Café, ice cream vans, toilets and a boating lake. Had a great time on a gorgeous day. My disabled son even had a go on an accessible exercise machine!!

Lovely park fair size to give pooches a good walk. Love that most of pond is fenced. would be great if rest of it could be fenced as side that's open is side where dogs have a good run off lead up the hill. Happy friendly people staff and pooches love my walks here with my three.

Excellent open space woodlands and kids play centre all surrounded by a beautiful lake Inc boat house with plenty if wildlife to feed from squirrels to ducks, geese to swans. A great family location or a casual walk

Lovely walk around the lake, then a coffee in the boathouse cafe. There is an outdoor gym and a playpark for the younger ones as well as several quiet walks among the trees 😊
