Booked for afternoon tea. Newly started. Choice of rolls coronation chicken or salted ham. Scones were with cheese and chilli very dry. Carrot cake which tasted more like a ginger. First pot of tea fantastic. Second pot tea bag reused and undrinkable. Easily see we did not enjoy due to amount food left. Didn't want to complain at table as close to others eating but when I spoke with staff and I think owner they did not seem to bother. £80 for afternoon tea and still cannot believe that a restaurant would 'reuse a tea bag

Went with an itison voucher. My wife enjoyed her meal, until the coffee came. I had monkfish cheeks. They were like rubber. Didn’t like them one little bit. Followed by liver and bacon. Liver was burnt on one side and uncooked on the other. When we tasted the coffee we both thought it was disgusting. Service was very poor. I won’t be going back. Very disappointed

had afternoon tea here today apart from a lovely setting i would not recommend visiting here . choice of 2 fillings for the rolls which where both really salty even the scones where poor cheese and chilli or fruit ,but my main complaint was after waiting for staff member to come back to table after bringing our pot of tea to tell them the cups where dirty tea went cold then when asked for more tea it dint matter how much you squeezed and stirred the pot of tea you where not getting tea from that tea bag so instead of fresh tea it was just a pot of hot water using tea bag from first pot the cheek is they charge you for second pot comical really £20 a head shocking we also asked b4 booking if child friendly apart from a lovely mocktail my 10 yrs old neice had nothing to eat 4 of us at £80 total waste of money .

We had the 'taster menu', a great idea but better value is to go for the standard menu
