At TaxAssist Accountants in Thirsk & Northallerton we pride ourselves on our friendly professional service. We have an enthusiastic experienced team who provide support and advice to a wide range of small businesses and individuals.
What matters most to us is your business and financial needs and how we can help you achieve your goals.
We are always looking for additional ways to help our clients – for example we have recently arranged a deal on workplace pensions that is unique to TaxAssist clients and which provides an affordable quality scheme for small employers with guaranteed aceptance. We have also arranged a good deal for our clients with Quickbooks which provides our clients with ‘cloud’ accounting software if they so wish.
Whatever your circumstances we are here to help. We assist start ups, sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and individuals who perhaps just need a tax return and some advice. We deal with vat, bookkeeping, CIS, payroll, accounts and taxation and more!

Our team
The practice is led by Selwyn and Pat Mozley, who have been with TaxAssist since 2008. Prior to joining TaxAssist Selwyn ran his own accountancy practice for 8 years prior to which he was an audit manager for many years for a large firm of accountants.
Before joining TaxAssist, Pat specialised in payroll, running her own payroll bureau for many years. Between them Selwyn and Pat have gained wide practical experience of advising and guiding small businesses on all issues.
Nick Meggison is the firm’s tax manager and has been with the firm many years, looking after a wide range of clients. Nick has a lifetime of experience in accountancy and taxation and all his clients really appreciate his polite, courteous approach and can-do attitude.
Emma Hutchinson has recently been promoted to VAT manager and looks after the bookkeeping and vat needs of clients in addition to accounts preparation. Emma always conveys an atmosphere of calm efficiency and is very good at putting clients at their ease.
Krista Hodges prepares accounts and vat returns and plays a major role in the payroll department where meeting tight deadlines is a priority. Despite the pressures she combines high professional standards with cheerful enthusiasm!
Peggy Allen provides a pivotal role in the payroll department and with years of experience brings a depth of knowledge to the subject which is unrivalled.
Ben Jones has recently joined the firm as a a trainee and we see a great future for him. He has a strong academic background and a real enthusiasm for the job.
