Surely just a station, but no it's more than that for me. Of course, trains come and go and not only modern ones antique ones too, but it's the history of the place that's fascinating. It's also the start of many an exciting journey, and the return to a place I love ie Taunton. And it's within walking distance. As of August 2023 there's a push to eliminate ticketing booths at stations, but I hope they don't as they serve more than simply handing out passes to those paying.
I used this APCOA car park for the first time on 10th April 24 used both QR code and app as was unsure what to do and my card got scammed and money was taken from my account on 2 occasions and blocked by my bank on another 2 occasions from the fraud protection team. I contacted APCOA through live chat as I couldn’t get hold of anyone on the phone just so that they could check that the QR codes or boards hadn’t been tampered with but their response was to contact my bank. I had already told them that I had and was just informing them that someone may have tampered with them but the weren’t interested
Well organised station. Bigger than most in Somerset. Much better than Bridgwater. Also a Cross Country stop where tou can get a direct train, with no stops, to Bristol or Plymouth. Big and cheap car park next door. Staff all very helpful at the gates and platform. Also a Starbucks aswell
A great place to buy over priced rail tickets and support yet another industrial action. Nothing says solidarity than supporting a service that runs on rails thats more expensive than actually flying to another country... viva resistance and viva gwr
This review is for the new APCOA multistory carpark at Taunton station. It is really unclear where the drop-off zones are. I went in there last night to collect someone. Used the new entrance. I could see no signs about drop-off parking. I tried using the APCOA weblink from the barcode sign by the door, and it would only offer me a full day parking at £7.10. And then wouldn't accept payment tried various cards. However I now see on their website that it is free for 20 minutes and up to 1 hour £2.00
