Absolutely amazing day out! Volunteers go above and beyond to assist you in every need possible. There are multiple simulators there and cockpits you can sit in. All volunteers were highly equipped with great knowledge and eager to pass it on. The museum was highly informative and interactive and the exhibition was great. The cockpit cafe was good as well! The gift shop has a lot of selection and well priced. I highly recommend this place to anyone considering it
The museum is well laid out with lots of exhibits as well as good descriptions and information about them. I found the crashed Hurricane that had been recovered from Hove very moving. There are plenty of interactive exhibits to try. There is so much information to read you really need to visit more than once to fully take everything in.
I had never heard of this place until I seen the advert on the back of a bus. It's a small museum but every inch is full of interesting artefacts and its not a bad price to get in either compared to some places. The crashed plane that has all the damaged pieces placed back where they would have been is an eye opener and its amazing to see what they were made of. The staff were all very friendly and even tho they were volunteers you could tell that they loved being there. They were very knowledgeable and were happy to answer any questions we had. We are a group of bikers and they didn't treat us any differently which is refreshing. The cafe was lovely and the prices were affordable. There was a good range of food and it was great quality. The bread looked delicious. It wasn't slow in serving us and they had tables inside and out. The coffee was good too. Overall we had a great day out and we will deffo go back again. We'll worth a visit.
Fantastic little Air Museum that I'd recommend anyone to go and visit. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff who are all too welcome to show you around the planes and answer any questions. They have a great collection of historic aircraft on display, which they are incredibly proud of and have kept in great condition. You really appreciate the time and effort they have put into the museum as a whole.
Filled with delightful people and aircraft. Amazing Lightning simulator, with expert coaching from trained pilot. Saw inside my father's Canberra cockpit with an experienced navigator explaining how the team worked within it! NAAFI cafe and reception team lovely.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
We as a family with 2 kids had the best experience at the museum. It is very interactive for kids with flight and air battle simulations. There are several displays with buttons to be pressed in order to how things used to work. Besides, for whom is from southern area, it great to get more familiar with the squadron 43 story, which is very interesting.
This aviation museum is a real gem! A good collection of aircraft and a huge selection of historical artifacts. The volunteers are friendly, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable and really make the visit special. Many of them have personal experience of flying some of the more recent aircraft. The cafe can be visited separately from the museum and serves great coffee, cakes, sandwiches and hot food. Allow a few hours for your visit.
A very enjoyable experience, the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly, reasonably priced entrance. As usual with places like this, food on the expensive side although very tasty. Most definitely wheelchair friendly. Definitely worth another visit.
Excellent few hours spent here, so much to see and learn about too. The volunteers are very enthusiastic and very helpful too. Highly recommended.
Brilliant museum. So much to look at and learn about. Everything is perfectly laid out and presentable so you dont miss anything. The planes are incredible and the flight simulator was fun. The staff were really knowledgeable and friendly. I will definitely visit againVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
