Had an excellent day at the Museum. It was a revisit as not enough time to see the Battle of Britain section last time. Very good interpretation and displays. New Lightening flight simulator is very impressive. Had to remind ourselves what we saw before now feel we need a couple more hours to renew our bonds. Great place and a very important place for all the family.
Wow what a stunning museum it may be small but it has so much amazing content take your time time to look around and take it all in. I must give a shout out to the amazing volunteers you are made to feel welcome the moment you enter and they are very happy to chat and pass on their knowledge. Kids will love the interactive displays I can highly recommend a visit trust me you will not be disappointed! There is a great little cafe as well.
So interesting and so much to see. Lots of reading but also a lot of exhibits. Plenty of buttons to press and opportunities to climb into exhibits, with very helpful volunteer guides so you get the full story. Reasonable entry fee and free parking. Also a cafe but so much to see we didn't have time to visit it.
Just terrific! Incredibly well laid out, with masses of detailed information and personal stories. Brilliant, helpful volunteers, allowing access to cockpits & simulators. Excellent homemade food in the canteen.nWhat a bargain, too!!!!
A physically compact but content packed museum that has a lot of opportunities to experience various exhibits. Both the adults and children in our party enjoyed the museum, especially the cockpits that are available to sit in with staff assistance as well as a jump seat and a couple of flight simulators. The staff are numerous and extremely helpful and informative. The aircraft are very well kept and the displays are excellent. Well worth a half day visit, especially on a damp day.
