If I could give less than 1 star I would. The treatment of tenants is shocking and the condition of these houses they let are disgusting. Jenny and Susan are rude, incompetent and wouldn't know how to run a businesses correctly by law. I could write a book on how awful the service has been from start to finish. Would not in a million years recommend them to anyone.
Absolutely disgusting human beings treat you like scum moved in the day i had my son and ever since nothing but trouble my house was freezing despite having my heating on constantly, damp everywhere electrics going because of leaks when i complained was told to put hat on gloves on my son bearing in mind he was 3 weeks old! And told work wouldnt be done for months so dont expect much!Even their own work men told me to get out! Jenny has no customer service skills at all and speaks to you like you have no worth doesnt pass on any repairs you report which an employee of t e lettings personally told me! They want to try and live a month let alone 3 years in their properties and see how they would feel and after it all they hound you and scare you like a pack of dogs when you try to leave id rather be homeless than live in one of their properties DO NOT RENT OF THESE!!!!!
I had a house from these in 2011 when I was pregnant, absolute disgrace they are, there was a big gap at the side of the downstairs window so the house was constantly cold and I was topping my gas up like there was no tomorrow, when my son was born I ended up living upstairs most of the time as it was warmer up there, and moved when my son was 3 months old. The front door kept jamming, kitchen window wouldn’t open, couldn’t have hot water unless you had the heating on full blast, and then they have the cheek to charge you £80 for sending you a letter if your rent was late which my was sometimes because of how I used to get paid every 4 weeks so didn’t always land on the day they wanted it I wouldn’t bother getting a property from these because they just take advantage of people who have nothing and as they don’t require a deposit it’s easy for people like the position I was in back then. I wouldn’t put my worst enemy in one of these houses and if I could I’d give a zero star rating.
Moved house 3 times with te lettings no bother. They treat you how you are with them. Houses are s##t but with 75 pound deposit I did my house up pretty nice. 7 years, little slow on some repairs but over all not bad. Would like a new kitchen an bathroom. 6 micklehurst
had a flat with these morons. it was an absolute disgrace had mice nesting when i moved in, and the false ceiling was held up by string and electrics were wired with cooker wire. even there own gas engineer told me the place was a death trap and to GET OUT!!! There were holes everywhere and one window doesnt even open, they refuse point blank to do repairs as the move in fee was £45 so therefore as Emma put it in her own words, "for £45 what do you expect? deal with it yourself!" then she would slam the phone down. Emma who works for TE Lettings is constantly rude over the phone, and they are constantly adding debt as rent arrears that is not applicable. to top it off there was an alcoholic living in the next flat and a drug addict on the other side, even after numerous complaints and phone calls to the police due to noise and the main door being kicked in by gangs looking for the addicts TE Lettings continued to do nothing. finally i moved out just a couple of months ago. i would definitely NOT recommend this company as they are an absolute waste of time and a joke. they LITERALLY expect you to live like a dog! BE WARNED THIS IS A COMPANY THAT WILL ONE DAY KILL SOMEONE WITH THE EXTENT OF DAMAGE TO THEIR PROPERTiES AND REPAIRS THEY REFUSE TO FIX!
I got a house with these in 2014 a few days before I had my baby. The kitchen floor was full of cat hair and cat wee it took a friend about 4 hours to scrub it all up on his hands and knees, the boiler broke twice in a month both times it was broke was a weekend I tried to put a complaint in as they haven't got an out of hours contact number so I had to go all weekend with no heating or hot water with a new born baby they didn't care they told me to leave a voicemail and they will get it first time on Monday morning they tried to say as well it was a brand new boiler you could tell it wasn't and even the man who came out both times about it said it wasn't new and he had attended the property a few times about the boiler. One of my plug sockets blew it sparked fire out of it and loads of smoke I had to wait a few days for someone to come out and have a look Emma was convinced it was my fault and I was going to get a fine for it but when the electric come out he said there was a fault in the socket nothing to do with me. My toilet was constantly blocked they said they couldn't do anything about it it was the way the pipes was put in this lead me to have to have wees in the bath disgusting!! and I couldn't go for a poo when I needed to I had to hold it in till I visited relatives as I didn't live near anyone I knew. The living room was freezing even with my coat, heating, electric heater and a duvet over me even social services and my health visitor said it was to cold for a baby but t.e lettings wouldn't listen. After I gave my notice in someone knocked on my door a few later to have a look at the boiler to get a new one fitted in so much for it was a brand new boiler when I moved in haha idiots. When I moved out there was a bit of decorating that I didn't finish of as I didn't have the time bare in mind I was a single mum to a new born baby I left carpet in the big cupboards that I ripped up that was down when I moved in they tried to send my gauntor a fine by saying I left the house in a mess I asked Emma did she see the state of the house before I moved in she said no we don't go out our inspectors do but it wasn't the same one that checked it before I moved in so she got told straight I offered to go and finish the bits of and she said no we will send you a bill instead. Emma even tried saying that I left the house worse then what it was so I said well thought you didn't check the house before I moved in thought it was someone else. One of the living rooms even had wallpaper half ripped off and half still on yet concerning to Emma I made that up because I ripped it remaining of when I moved out. My gountor stood their ground so we never get a bill for a silly things they wanted. I read nothing but made reviews before I moved in but when you have got no where to live and your due to give birth you do what you can to get a roof over your head for your baby I would avoid these at all costs!! Sorry for the long post lol
Absolute disgusting properties, falling to bits. electrics keep blowing my light bulbs to the point of exploding yet still no repair. my kitchen ceiling is falling through, a leaking ceiling that has been repaired is leaking yet again for the 3rd time in 6 months!!!!! i could go on and on. they do nothing and try turn the blame on the tenant!!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID
0 Stars but have to put one. WOW after reading these reviews it appears i had a VERY lucky escape. A property was advertised by TE Lettings on Rightmove at 4pm on Monday afternoon. I phoned TE Lettings at 9.10am on the Tuesday morning as the property sounded brilliant for myself and son ie my perfect location, garden , walking distance of work and school. I was asked that if i gave my number someone would get back to me on the Wednesday as a question was needed to be asked and the relevant person wasn't in on Tuesday. I gave my number and was told by the lady Jenny I think was the name, that I was the first person who had contacted them regarding this property and that no one had viewed and I would be the first. Waited until 10am on the Wednesday to receive call back and then from 10am I tried continuously to phone and speak to someone. No answer. I eventually got through around 3.45pm and was told the same . Took number again someone would phone me back today Thursday . As at 4pm I checked Rightmove and the property had disappeared. I contacted TE Lettings yeah got through, and was told by Jenny that the property had gone. Explained the phone calls i had been waiting for and that id been on the phone at 9.10am on the Tuesday, and i was told by here that it had already gone by 9.10am on the Tuesday so asked why have been told i would have a phone call back and her explanation was depends who i spoke to. Very long review so annoyed. however like at said at the beginning , looks like Ive had a VERY lucky escape.
Basically I wouldn't put a dog in here. The people at the letting agents are rude they say they state it's an admin fee you pay and not a deposit which is a cost of £75 and you do not get back. The property had fresh magnolia over mold & the property smells musty. No carpets also.
absolutely disgusting service. house is full of damp and mould no adequate heating staff are so unprofessional who pass the phone round to each other can never speak with a manager or any one of higher authority, I would be ashamed to work for a company such as yourselves. jenny and susan need firing and feeding to the dogs, if the dogs would even eat them they are the lowest of the low how a company like this is still operating have no idea AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. WOULD NOT EVEN GIVE ONE STAR BUT HAD TO PUT ONE TO SUBMIT THE REVIEW
