Stopped in for some bacon rolls whilst getting fuel. I noticed just after paying that I had been charged more than the displayed price for them. l told the server and after briefly checking the till she told me “Sorry, that’s the price” with a couldn’t care less attitude. Didn’t have the time or energy for an argument with her so just left it at that. Was told that they don’t do takeaway tea either and you have to do back next door to the fuel station for this. Poor attitude of the staff member with even poorer understanding of consumer protection rights means that I won’t visit again.
We had the prawn platter & chips, £12.70. Lovely food & reasonable. It was a prawn salad & some fruit, with 2 deep-fried prawns in breadcrumbs & a basket of chips. Good service. Big plateful, dad wasn't fit for ice-cream.Food: 5/5
Staff are great food and portions for the price were shockingly bad tho especialy for such cheap to make things like macaroni and chips Kids chicken nuggets were awful also Wont be back to this one Just short of £30 spent
Nice, friendly service. Menu had a good variety to choose from. Clean restraunt. Well spaced out tables. Competitive prices.Food: 4/5
Lasagne was better than in any pub we have dined on and was the quality of lasagne we were served in an Italian Restaurant. Highly recommend Tall Pines.Food: 5/5
Nice reasonably priced place with a decent selection of dishes. You won't get resteraunt quality food here, but you'll definitely get the higher end of cafe meals. I've been here multiple times and I would recommend the hunter's chicken, gammon & egg and breakfasts. Their soup of the day is also reasonable with the expectation that it's most likely out of a can, but that's fine if you weren't expecting michelin star fine dining.
Very rude and unprofessional Middle Aged waitress. She was the only unpleasant host in Scotland we met as tourists. We went in for a dinner. Offered a table. Then realised that everybody sitting there and waiting for the food for a long time looking at the kitchen. Waitress also said they have only 2 cooks so they are slow. so we decided to take away. Then she said “ We have to leave the table now and wait over the counter “ Then we said to her That’s fine we will Wait. She then again proclaimed in an unfriendly manner that still unguys have to wait long time as if she doesn’t want to serve us. She doesn’t look like she is enjoying her profession. As we deal with lots of people in our jobs in hospital, we felt so bad and embarrassed. We teccemmend the fuel Pump and corner shop in this place. But this waitress in the restaurant ruined our impression about Scottish hospitality . We are sure there should be other people who had same experience from this lady with a lipstick on. So feedback and sharing opinion will hopefully improve the situation in future. We suggest that she might need some customer service training or hospitality coaching or councilling to deal with all kinds of people in positive way irrespective of their appearance. Thanks.
Food was served in reasonable time . menu was typical pub grub .ok when you are hungry and need a pit stop Kid-friendliness: Plenty of space where they can't bump into anyone Parking: The restaurant is part of a service petrol station there is a large parking area Wheelchair accessibility: It's at ground level with the restaurant.
Good menu choices, reasonably priced food and we all enjoyed it. First timers ....and will go back!! Food: 4/5
Unbelievably unfriendly waitress who 2 hours before closing advised us to leave the place as she wanted to leave earlier. All that after 9 hours of driving with 2 children. When we finally got here we headed to the restaurant, tired and hungry to be welcomed by such rude individual. Moreover, to diminish despicable mood of the waitress we wanted to order take away. With attitude we were informed that there's not much to be order to take away. So finally decided to eat in still 2 hours to closing as children were very hungry. Menu does not inform about portion eg., sausages with chips from kids menu. How many sausages? I didn't dare to ask. But I did ask about the percentage of meat in mentioned sausages. Shocking answer, 50% of meat in sausages served in kids menu. Disgusting. Also tables very dirty and meals served without any esthetic sense, and taste as they look. We ended up somewhere else.
