Heard really good things about this place but sadly the food was really disappointing. Curries all tasted like they came from jars of sauce. The service was good though and it was really busy on a Friday night which created a good but loud environment.
I've driven past the Taj maybe 6 million times, never ever thought to go in because there's a very good Indian restaurant at the end of my road. But on Mother's Day it was fully booked so we took a chance on the Taj. And now I have a real dilemma. The food was subtly different from my "local" which made selecting dishes more interesting. And what a fabulous range of food we were served. We ate every single bit of every dish. I don't think that's every happened before. I strongly suggest you give the Taj a try.
Best Naan I’ve ever tasted and the most divine tandoori king prawn masala. My friends were equally delighted with their meals. The restaurant was full, which is always a good sign and the waiters were incredibly welcoming, friendly and efficient. I couldn’t fault this restaurant.
Been going here for years and it can't be faulted! Consistently tasty and great quality food. Daughter has food allergies and is always looked after well. We love it here!! Dietary restrictions: Wheat gluten nuts sesame
Nice lunch, quick service, lots of options, served on heated plates. Good value. Did feel forced out prematurely as they wanted to shut after lunch- waiters stood a bit too close to the table making it feel rushed.
I love this place. Have been getting take aways from here for years and the food is always delicious and good value. Staff are friendly and courteous. Best Indian restaurant in the area. Have dined in on several occasions and has always been excellent too.
I have been using this restaurant since the early ninetys in this time there has only been 2 owners and the food quality in my mind has always been excellent. This is the only restaurant I would recommend to my friends.Food: 5/5
A friend suggested we try here for a change as hed hesrd good things..... It was very busy for a Thursday night so a popular place, but i dont understand why, up there with 1 of the worst Indian meals ever. Cheap chicken with the constituency of rubber with a sauce poured over, the worst nan breads I have ever eaten and appallingly slow service. All in all it was just awful.Lovely panoramic view of the car park though. Given how busy it was maybe I was just unlucky, but I certainly won't be going back.

AVOID ! Ordered chicken madras , pilau rice & onion bhaji to take away on 5/11/22.The portion of madras was SMALL ! The same size as the rice ! The chicken was dry & rubbery and the sauce had no depth of flavour , it was just curry powder ! The rice and bhaji were okay but for £13.50 it was very disappointing and I won’t be going back ! The worst Indian takeaway I’ve had !
