10/10 Atmosphere was relaxed, but, you could definitely impress a date here. There is even a little booth that would work perfectly for an intimate, surprise proposal. Service was impeccable, my husband and I booked in advance and were seated quickly. When my husband dropped his fork, he barely had time to pick it up before he had a fresh one brought to him. They also recommend I try a different dish to what I ordered, due to the shank not being satisfactory to the chef. I was impressed by this honesty, as I was with my dish. The food was delicious, fresh, well cooked and presented. We would recommend the seafood sharing platter and anything from the chef's recommended. The slow cooked lamb is to die for. Tasty and fairly priced cocktails. wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks are average price. We will be back in the future. I highly recommend coming here to eat. Veggie and gluten free options are available.
Friendly place, that made an effort to accommodate us. Food was well made and mainly left alone to enjoy it. Surroundings are relaxing. Only down side was the waitresses could take a bit more care with their appearance. All in all though a good experience definitely be back.
Great restaurant. Really nice setting inside. Food was outstanding. Great selection of cocktails and drinks. Try the special pink gin they do! The staff were also super. Will definitely be back!
The food was very slow to come after we ordered. Food was nice when not over cooked. Don't start with beer or wine as they will keep you waiting longer so you order more drinks. Very friendly staff and when food came out of the kitchen the services was great.
Nice staff. I like the food alot especially the little poppadoms with nice dip at the start of the meal.. lovely to keep you topped up til the main meal arrives.. Cobra and Tiger beer too... #win
Family and I have eaten here several times. Love the food, the best place in town! Thank you to the Chef and the cooks that prepare the delicious food.Ambiance was excellent .worth going in .Thanks to chef Mr. RAM and Chef NITIN for wonderful meal . We will back soon .
I took a very good friend out for a wonderful and memorable birthday meal last night. The venue was Taaj in Jordanstown. On arrival we were warmly greeted and seated and presented with our menus, which included the regular A la Carte and the High Tea Menu. As we were both hungry we opted for A la Carte. Whilst we looked at the menu we nibbled on freshly prepared and crisp poppadoms served with three delectable chutneys. Our drinks were a big bottle of Kingfisher for my bud and sparkling water for me!!

Our order was:
Mixed meat starter to share
Chicken tikka, Lamb tikka, seekh kebab, reshmi kebab, meat samosa, salad
Seafood balti monkfish, king prawn
Nag Puri Chicken and lamb tikka

The meat starter was well presented and the samosa pastry was crispy and meats were all tender and succulent.

The main courses were absolutely delicious, rich in flavour and spice and not oily or falsely coloured, but natural and authentic. The rice and nan were tasty and just enough for the two of us. Exceptional service in wonderful surrounds and amazing authentic food. All for under £60!!
Get a takeaway from it most weekends and always ask the guys behind the counter to recommend me a dish and i have yet to be disappointed. Top food, top service and lovely to sit in and eat as well.
my wife and i visited taaj jordanstown on a saturday night as a treat as we love Indian cuisine and i have to say this is one of the best in the newtownabbey. The Decor is of a high standard and very relaxing and the service was excellent. the food itself was full of flavour and plenty of it. we have visited many Indian restaurants and this has to be in our top 5. value for money.
I really enjoyed the meal, service was friendly and the food came in good time. Will definitely return here and try something else from the menu.
