I brought my washing machine from TC Hayes the price was good on the day of purchase they disconnected my old washing machine took it away reconnect my new washing machine made sure that it was in work order all within a 3 hour period of my purchase brilliant service
Our Bosch washing machine had packed up and we were in urgent need of a new one. Hayes were our saviour!! Mum was just going to have a washing machine. But I spotted a washer/dryer and I called Mum over to it. As our weather here in the UK is unreliable, I said to Mum about the washer/dryer and that it would dry our clothes if I couldn't get outside to dry them. And we wouldn't need to air them over a clothes horse either. We had the only Hotpoint model they had got in the shop. Geraldine was extremely helpful to us and knowledgeable. We have used Hayes for many years for electrical goods and always been pleased with whatever we've had and their customer service.
Spoke to the sales staff by telephone and they could not have been more helpful.Explained what i wanted and they phoned me back with a price, a 3 day delivery at my convenience. I ordered the washing machine, with no deposit required and as promised i had the delivery, they fitted the new machine, removed the old one and took it away. Also took all the packaging away. Once satisfied, i paid by card. First class service. I even received a follow up phone call today, 2 weeks later to make sure that everything was okay. I live a good 15 miles from their business, but that was not a problem and was all free of charge as promised. Fantastic company to deal with and will never use one of the popular high street chains every again. Thank you to you all.
I met Mr Hayes today and he made me the happiest person alive especially in these days of austerity he gave me a wonderful discount on a Panasonic Stereo System which I'm absolutely delighted with thank you kind Sir, Mr Hayes your a star and I'm truly grateful.
I try to support local businesses rather than shop at big retailers but unfortunately never will again after my experience at T C Hayes. They sold me a washer dryer that was leaking and although I have since found that the Consumer Rights Act 2015 states that my contract is with the retailer not the manufacturer, they refused to resolve the issue and told me I had to go to the manufacturer. The Act states that when an appliance is less than 6 months old, the retailer has one opportunity to repair the item before refunding or replacing it. As they refused to deal with it, I had to deal with the manufacturer who said they had to have 3 attempts at repairing it. The first attempt was in October last year. After that failed, the machine should have been replaced or refunded according to the Act, however, after further visits from the manufacturer, I still have a leaking machine in my house, 5 months on from when I first reported it. I didn't know my consumer rights at the time and trusted what the retailer and manufactuer said. I visited the shop last weekend and the one member of staff continually shouted over me, twisted what I was saying and called Mr Hayes down who called me stupid, said I wasn't educated and was laughing at and mocking me. He was probably laughing because he realised that I clearly didn't know my consumer rights and they had got away with duping me all along. I looked it up after that visit and found out that this should have been sorted long ago by them, not the manufacturer and I shouldn't have had these months of stress and battle. I called them today to advise what I had learned and the same lady I had seen last weekend shouted down the phone at me, wouldn't let me finish a sentence and refused to acknowledge that they had breached their legal obligations when I quoted the Act to her. I called the Citizens Advice Bureau afterwards and they are reporting them to trading standards. My family have been loyal customers for decades, but this service was a disgrace. I thought we had previously had good service from them but I was reminded when I told others of this incident that my 89 year old mom had purchased a fridge and a freezer from them about 3 years back and they took her money and didn't deliver the items for months. She kept going in store and they fobbed her off continually. What a way to treat a vulnerable elderly lady on a state pension. If there hadn't been any issue with the machine then I would have rated them 3.5 from the service during selling the machine and delivering and fitting it. It's not a professional outfit but they deliver and fit for free. However if something goes wrong then you will not get anywhere with them and they don't care about the distress they cause leaving you with faulty goods for months. They have no customer service department to deal with complaints and the business owner himself is culpable of the worst behaviour, so unlike the larger retailers, you have no avenue to go down to get a complaint dealt with to your satisfaction. I have had some goodwill gestures from the manufacturer even though they are not liable, but nothing but abuse from the retailer who is responsible.
Where others fail, T. C. Hayes succeed! Rang the store as I needed a new washing machine. Very helpful on the phone, so I went into store to order the machine. Explained that it had to be delivered up 2 flights of stairs and they said no problem. Currys refused! The machine was delivered the next morning - no issues. Free delivery, free installation and no charge for taking the old machine away and the price beat Currys! Great service all round from initial contact with helpful staff at Bearwood right through to the delivery guys who were excellent. Will definitely visit in the future. Thank you!
Fantastic service from ordering to delivery .ordered new washing machine delivered same day .Delivery men fitted it and explained how to use it .Really pleased great service .
Bought a washing machine from TC Hayes. Excellent service all round. Staff in the shop and on the phone were all very helpful and friendly as were the fitters who brought the machine to the house. I would certainly recommend them to other people. Items were reasonably priced and they were able to supply me with a machine that fitted in with my budget.
Who can wait to replace a broken washing machine? TC Hayes, gave excellent customer service, advice, and a price that bettered the big boys. Could have had delivered and installed next day at no additional cost, but chose to take from store. Mark and his colleague apologies for not taking his name couldn't have been more accommodating. This will be our future "go to" store for electrical goods. Thank you.
I wanted to buy an American-style fridge freezer but there was nothing that I wanted and The showroom was empty of customers and I had to wait 30 minutes for the two assistants to finish their conversation and notice my presence. I'm disappointed in my experience.
