I stopped here with my son when I took him to watch snooker in Leicester. The hotel was lovely, rooms nice and clean and both our meals were superb. What really made it memorable though were the staff who were fantastic to me and my son. We will definitely be back next year.
I stayed at Sysonby Knoll Hotel with my two Daschunds for 3 nights and we all absolutely loved it. The dogs just loved the beautiful grounds, and the staff were all so lovely and made a huge fuss of them both. Bed was huge, room was clean, food was lovely breakfast too We drove to a few different places nearby for walks and then came back and relaxed at the hotel. Would highly recommend, it’s stunning in the gardens when the sun is out! Thank you all for looking after us!

Went for lunch - mine arrived last and was cold and very unappetizing. Such a shame, place is very quirky, lots of nooks and crannies. Its quite difficult to park - there is off road parking but it's quite difficult to turn around - best do it before everyone else arrives. Nearby activities: Lots of things to do within a short distance. Food & drinks: Melton Mowbray is now the rural food hub of England. Lots of food festivals.
Went for an evening meal. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, the surroundings were pleasant and comfortable, and the food was tasteful with an interesting menu. My only criticism would be that the vegetable portion was a bit smaller.
We love a great Sunday lunch out and as usual the Sysonby Knoll Hotel was to a very high standard our plates were cleared. Great food, great price, great venue, great menu and lovely staff. Highly recommended.
Came here with a big party for food, as I have a few food sensitivities they planned a meal in advance for me with no complaints! It was all fantastic food, the whole party was very pleased and we would definitely come back again! Highly recommendService: 5/5
Clean, friendly staff, helpful too, great breakfast too, fab views across the country side from the restaurant. Lovely Sunday lunch only negative would be more variety of vegetables. Delicious dessert. Would stay again.
A gathering of eight elderly and some disabled adults for an 80th celebration. The staff were delightful especially the lady behind the bar who was so polite, helpful, and went the extra mile to support our disabled friends. She was a credit to the hotel. The menus were well priced not too expensive. Between us we ate fish cakes, burger and roast lamb. The fish cakes looked delicious on arrival well presented. Crunchy outside soft middles of mash parsley and flakes of salmon. Hardly any salmon sadly and no flavour of salmon at all. Very disappointing. The veg arrived separately everything piping hot. So many roast potatoes a huge number and the veg consisted of carrots well cooked al dente, broccoli with cheese sauce and red cabbage. The selection worked well with the roast lamb but a little odd with the fishcakes. Guests said the lamb was tasty but cut thinly and no mint sauce was offered. Desserts eaten were proclaimed as good and were served as good sized portions. A happy hearty meal.
Thank you so much for a fantastic 2 night stay on the occasion of my daughter's wedding. Your staff are amazing, so kind, considerate and helpful - all going the extra mile to help as my husband is very disabled. The meals were all perfectly cooked, served, and delicious Thank you all again.
