I have been taking my daughter to the baby swim here for a few months now and it's brilliant. She is just about to move upto the older lessons and she's so confident for a 3 year old. The water is warm, the staff are friendly, facility is really safe with a scanner to get through. Staff are always cleaning and they even play cartoons in the seating area for children to watch before their lesson. My daughter has progressed quickly and loves the water. Thank you.
My 6 year old daughter has been coming here since April, but we cancelled the membership today for the following reasons:nn1. Facilities. The changing rooms are not very clean and there was only 1 Hairdryer working. It's been like this for a few weeks. Parents queuing to use the one working Hairdryer! The nappy bins stink and the toilets are normally out of order.nn2. Very disorganised. The place where the kids warm up is always packed with nowhere to move! There should be a separate exit for the kids that have finished their lesson to stop the bottle neck in that area.nn3. What you are sold is not what you get! My daughter has been in Swim 2 since April. The profile is NEVER updated with her progress. We have bought this up with the staff a number of times but still nothing has been updated. They never have any stickers and she's never had a certificate. Absolutely nothing provided to keep the kids motivated and engaged. The teachers never give updates. They just send the kids out to the changing rooms and take the next group in.nn4. We pay for a 30 minute lesson, however, you never get 30 mins. The groups are mixed abilities regarding of what swim class you are in so the teacher doesn't spend much time with each child. In the 30 minute session, there is actually not much swimming! The area they swim in is also too small especially with the amount of floats and armbands etc!!nn5. We feel that 49.99 a month is very overpriced for what you get.nn6. There is never anyone on reception to talk to if you need anything.nn7. Teachers are not consistent so they don't know your child's capabilities. My child can swim unaided but a couple of weeks ago the teacher, who she hadn't had before, put armbands on her!nn8. Seems to be no criteria for star of the week.nn9. Was advised that each week Should have a theme I.e. superheroes, aliens etc but I think we've had this twice since April!nnOverall, it's disappointing. It's the same thing every week and poorly managed. Unfortunately, I don't believe swim! Is interested in the teaching of the children, it's all about the money. My eldest daughter who is 12 did a better job of teaching my little one to swim on our recent holiday!
My little boy loves it!nI love how the teachers are in the water with them throughout their lesson too support them, and you get feedback at the end.nInMassive shout out to rhea she really has got him going and caters too his needs. Thankyou! X
My son loves his weekly swim lesson here. Great teachers that always get in the water with the children and come out to offer feedback to parents. Really friendly place that always put the children first. Highly recommend.
I have attended a few lessons with my wife. It was great for getting my daughter to build her confidence and staff was really encouraging.nnWe then sadly moved away so moved to somewhere else more convenient for us which where the pain started. Sadly a simple task of cancelling our classes has become depressing. My wife tried to do it at the centre you have to email she emailed 3 times asking to cancel she only had one response which was to confirm she wanted to cancel which went to spam so saw it too late they didn’t seem to cancel it.nnNow I have to get involved as she become frustrated but a couple of emails and contact form to no avail so far in the 6 weeks of attempting. So we cancelled direct debit and then instantly chasing for £50 owed after no responses from messages. Sadly seems intentionally difficult to cancel lessons.
