I went for a coffee and cake in the afternoon, the shop looks really nice and cosy, the staff is really friendly. They have a large selection of cakes, pastries and bread. I had a banoffee pie which was ok but didn't have much banana inside and a latte. Id recommend this place!
Been waiting to get in here for a while..went on the off chance and i wasnt disappointed, great service and the confectionery was to die for..a real gem and a defo must visit. Free car park over the rd aswell..12/10 from me and i will definitely be back again very soon..You can book ahead of your visit and i suggest you do, its been extremely busy in the past when we have been. ps we just had cake & tea but will have a meal nxt time the meals looked epic, Enjoy
Bread, cakes etc are all freshly baked everyday by award winning baker. Nicely decorated with pictures from the local area. Staff are lovely and very helpful. Highly recommended and well worth the trip.
Absolutely superb food! Cakes, made fresh by Cheryl, are amazing! Also best coffee for miles!Food: 5/5
Went on Friday morning for a breakfast date with the hubby. I ordered eggs, salmon benedict, he ordered sausage breakfast hash. Quite disappointed at what we were served. Mine I was expecting to be poached or at least soft bolied eggs on sourdough as stated. What I got were two very hard eggs served on a partially toasted white bun which tasted stale. His was far too greasy, somehow with undercooked bacon and overcooked sausage chunks. My coffee was tasty but just lukewarm. Hopefully a one off as I've had nice lunch and cake from here before. Won't be back for breakfast though. No one asked how our meal was when clearing the plates, although from the amount we left it was probably obvious. A shame, and at £8.50 definitely not worth it.
Love this place, friendly comfy service, amazing cakes, sweet treats and breakfasts.Food: 5/5
My daughter and I went there for breakfast this morning. I will be honest, I had not been since before the 1st lockdown, and it was great to be back! I loved the new deco, and the food was as delicious as ever. The staff were as friendly as ever too! We will be back before long, that's for sure. I recommend going at 9am too - lovely and quiet. I am so lucky to be able to walk there from my house, but if you can't there is parking close by.
This is a lovely warm and friendly place to visit. The menu is simple to view and the homecooked food is amazing. The old school puddings take me back to senior school and are very reasonably priced. It's advisable to book in advance
great range of cakes and bread. I'm not sure if I just made a poor choice but the slice of cake I got was awful. Dry all the way through, I think it had been pre sliced and in the fridge for several days. Really poor for the price. Still give 4 stars because the staff were friendly and the peach Melba was lovely!
Lovely tasty treats, great coffee and friendly staff.
