Lovely ice cream! Different in the best way compared to everywhere else! Thicker and creamier. Fully recommend!
Absolutely love this little gem in portmarnock, the ice cream is hands down the best i've tasted and my kids go crazy for the toppings the owner couldn't be nicer and he has such a lovely way with kids in the shop...i make sure i get at least 1 visit in everytime i'm home from the UK.
Pictures on Instagram and on the wall look amazing, and we had heard good things so we went out after being a the beach and took the kids. To say pictures can be deceiving is an understatement. You're shown big glorious overflowing cups of ice cream with an array of sauces and toppings. What we got was a squirt of ice cream that would even be to small on a standard 99 cone, a drizzle of 1 sauce even though the menu states you'd get a couple as per the selected ice cream, and as far as toppings go if they'd of dropped it on the floor it may have gotten more on it, and it probably would of looked more like the pictures. The worst part is you pay near on €20 before the ice cream is served and you walk out feeling so robbed, like you'd of been better off heading down the road to the wee hut and just paid €9 for a few 99s with a flake in.
I was there today and it was one of the most best experiences every I went in with my two kids to get a ice cream on a very hot day and we were met at the counter with three lovely young girls, who were very helpful with letting us know things from what they thought would be nice for my kids to try as we are not locals and haven’t been here before and they were very sweet and had us out in no time at all the prices here were also amazing although there was a long line but that’s understandable as it was a very nice day out but overall I had amazing experience and will be coming back as the staff and the shop in its self was amazing
The most amazing ice cream! Lovely little space to chill out to enjoy the ice cream. No stingy portions and delicious flavours. The quality is the best in Ireland!
Very nice ice-cream but a small selection. They have lots of toppings but I would prefer a bigger selection of flavours myself. €3.50 for a cone with one scoop and toppings. A lovely setting and you can sit outside to enjoy your purchase.
Excellent quality ice cream, the best I’ve tasted in Dublin! Lovely outside seating to sit and enjoy your ice cream, I will definitely return.
The two scabbiest ice creams I've ever seen for a tenner. Weren't as described on the poster or in any way similar to the pictures. A normal large tub but half filled with ice cream, with some sauce on the top and half a bar. Staff seemed uninterested and not particularly knowledgeable about what they were doing. I regret not stopping as supermacs instead as I would have had twice as much for the same price and it would have been mixed/had more than just sauce ***Replying via an edit as there is no reply option on Google reviews*** The menu that I went off was the large obvious pictures on the left as you come in, they were a far cry from what was served your Instagrams extremely misleading also. That along with the actual presentation was total false advertising. I'm not sure how a cup twice the size of the ice cream counts as waste reduction. 5-6euro in most ice cream parlours gets you the same size cup you serve but full and with toppings throughout. Scrum diddlys, Cafollas in Dun Laoighaire, Teddys, Ellies in Bettystown, as mentioned Mood in Supermacs are a few examples. I'm not sure who you're referring to there but my partner hadn't left a review. Not really sure why you're making a connection, I can see someone below you basically fat shamed by telling them if they want to "over indulge" they can go somewhere else side note, its an ice cream parlour, isn't indulging kind of the point?. Again, if the girl you're referring to didn't have the "courtesy to reply" its probably because theres no option to reply...honestly your attitude is worse than your ice cream and I definitely will f off to Supermacs as you basically suggested. I can see why your staff don't feel the need to be amicable.
Great ice cream and love the choice of toppings! Looking forward to our next visit!
Love this place. Delicious ice-cream with plenty of choice. Staff are very friendly
