An excellent little museum. It's a bit disjointed for wheelchair users, but we managed and they do have a lift. Great selection of relics from multiple eras, which was a pleasure. It was also free as all museums should be. Friendly staff. Parking not great.
This is an amazing place to learn about Swansea. If you haven't already it is worth a visit to see the only mummy in the UK out of the tomb. Entry is free, go and support this amazing building of heritage.
A really surprising find! This local museum was quaint, maybe even a bit shabby, but it was full of interesting finds from the local area from Neolithic through Roman occupation, industrialization and up to the modern day. We learned quite a bit about the area here. And oddly enough THEY HAVE MUMMIES! Like an actual mummy, pretty cool.
I enjoyed this museum much more than I thought I would! Very good collections and displays, would recommend if you have a day in Swansea!
Wow, great place to visit, oldest museum in Wales. If you haven't seen the 50 Years of Music in Swansea 1969 - 2019 exhibition, it is well worth a visit.
Great afternoon on a wet day .Took my grandson aged 7 who had never been before. We were greeted by friendly and helpful staff who pointed out displays and gave him a Mousehunt sheet which we all enjoyed but I was surprised by his enthusiasm for all the displays which I enjoyed when I was his age . Great tradition museum
Wonderful place, loved the Egypt room and natural history items in particular. They have a fab 'Spot the Mice' game for children hidden all over the museum ask at reception and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Very nice place to spend your time with your family!
