Lovely place for dog walkers fishing and numerous activities. Only reason for the four stars is the odd walker with dogs off the lead which aren’t so friendly but few and far between. Also the cafe may be shutting down which would be a crying shame
Met our granddaughter here.never been before and we were really impressed. Parking was a bit difficult as there were local junior teams playing football but we managed. Fed the ducks on the lake..nice play area and had a hot drink in the on-site café.
We attended the Ashfield Show. We arrived early on Saturday Morning. It was very quiet and the weather was fantastic. A lot of the stalls and attractions had just started to open. Parking wasn’t an issue. The park itself was very well kept, clean and tidy. Lots of activities for children. Benches and seating were available.nnThe event seemed to lack a few stands and stalls, and the prices were inevitably expensive as always with these kinds of events.
Beautuful plants, lake shrubery and herbacious boaders. Amazing trees, such a lovely place for an autumn walk - paths also very accessible for wheelchairs etc. friendly cafe too
First visit here for a free music and amusement event in August 2024, put on by Ashfield District Council. Great day out at this 2.5 day event.
