I’ve bought a 2kg Laila Rice it clearly states it 100% long grain rice when I arrived home and open the bag it’s no where near the long grain and to find little stones really piss me off , I have try to call the company they say option 5 , but no one answers . I’m actually taking the matter up with the fair trading with regards to the false description of the product. I paid for long grain rice it’s not what I got in the bag, further more not to listen to customer complaints that’s Unacceptable Behaviour by a very large company. I will approach the health and safety with regards the stones found in the rice. This could cause a major health issue. I strongly advise all customers not to buy this brand or any brand supplied by this company. I wanted to add pictures but it would allow me.
Absolutely rubbish customer service. They are not worth the one star I gave. Liers and dishonest people.nI have always bought laila gold rice and they cook amazing. December 2022 I purchased two 10kg bags from Tesco Birmingham. Once I cooked they were not long and fluffy long grain laila gold rice as usual they were tiny, quality was really badnLaila gold rice is known for its length and quality . this rice is like laila green in a laila gold bag. I have sent pics and barcodes to prove this. I bought another bag of rice and compared them and they are different rice.nAfter few try’s I kept getting the same small broken rice.nSo I contacted surya foods , since January I have been sent one email by Stuart who’s talked about the procedures they take before packing the rice and mentioned they do have a new supplier but tests were all normal.nMirnal at customer service has been giving different numbers for different people who never get back to you or reply. Stuart doesn’t reply to my emails after the first reply.nLaila gold customer service is absolutely terrible a shamble. I am surprised they are still up n running.nMirnal also said I wasn’t the first to complain about laila gold rice.nPics show pilaue as the faulty rice and biryani as the new bag, I had to buy again.nDefinitely won’t be buying from you again.worst customer service ever.
I found bugs in their salaam rice and they contaminated other sources of food in my kitchen after I opened the bag, I was not aware the bag had bugs at the time. I've been in contact with someone since 11th September regarding compensation for the bag of rice with bugs, the bare minimum as I mentioned before my kitchen too was contaminated after opening the bag of rice, and I still have not received the compensation. The replies are also extremely late and I'm having to chase them down regarding this matter. I've went over the reviews and seen other people with similar issues This brand cannot be trusted at all.nnUpdate: it has been more than 5 months since the initial contact and I still don't have my refund.
Just a warning that Laila foods contain potentially lethal contamination in the form of stones and rocks. No interest or reply from the brand in question and as you can imagine Corporate are very difficult to get in touch with. Obviously both the Dulai brothers have no faith in their product, their brand or their service.
Total rubbish products they supplying in to the supermarkets. Bought a 5KG Apna long grain basmati rice from sainsbury's. opened the bag and found a black bug in the rice!!! Contact sainsbury's they said to contact Surya foods ?? Is this company regulated by any UK authorities
