The chips is really terrible, it couldn’t be worse than that. It’s so crunchy and greasy, most likely the leftover from previous day have been reheated. I asked for grilled vegetables, the gentleman offered a chicken burger with salad. OK, I thought he just misunderstood me then asked again. His response again was the same thing: chicken burger with salad. Since I don’t eat meat, nor “fake bread” I got a coleslaw which was nice and fresh so this review worth 1 star otherwise not even that. aaaand... Let’s not talk about the moulded pickles in the jar that was too much for me. Also my daughter asked for a plastic spoon and she got a fork
Used to love this place, but it got much worse, food was dry, tastless and burned. Delivery was 20 minutes late so arrived luke warm. Will never order again!!!
Very very bad food. Half of it was inedible. The lamb kebab wasnt what was expected, it was large pieces of lamb, very undercooked. Chicken still raw, nan rock hard! The chicken looked like and felt like it had been char grilled either side then thrown in the mix, lamb was all fat, hardly cooked and weird texture. I am a chef and I am absolutely astonished of the food that came out of that kitchen. Super plaice that was there was the best fish and chips. This place has ruined that spots reputation
This food outlet used to be called Super Plaice and it was brilliant back then. Just had some from fish from here and it was burnt!!! Message to the current owner please focus on producing tasty fish and chips. Bring back the good old days when we were proud of our local chippy. I will not be wasting my money there again. :-
Would give 0 stars if I could. Chicken was undercooked, battered sausages were burnt on one side and so oily on the other that it was dripping and made the paper go see through, chips were chewy, the cheese on the chips tasted like chemicaly plastic, didnt even trust the 2 pies and fish cake i ordered. I then called to make a complaint and was called fat and a liar and told that i was wasting their time. Absolutely apalling. Would not even recommend to someone I hate. Staff was rude and hung up on me and my delivery took over an hour to arrive when i live 9 minutes away.

Spoke to 3 different people on the phone, first guy was polite, second could not understand English and third was rude. Tried to order food and when asked to repeat order back to ensure it was correct came back with hope so as a reply. When asked how much for total they were charging more than what it should have been. When receiving order delivery guy was very understanding and polite. Upon checking the food the order was incorrect and had stuff we had not even ordered which explains why they wanted to charge more their mistake 5 minutes after food was delivered they called and said that we were making the prices up ourselves and that we ordered wrong and then tried to state I was being rude when they were actually being rude by speaking to me like dirt to me when I was explaining the problem in a civilised tone was then told they would not be serving me food ever again which irritated me so said fine stick your food up your arse to which he hung up on me. Understood as I was rude in the end Place needs to be shut down DISGUSTING
We ordered our food over call, and to begin with, our call wasn't even answered. When we finally got through, the owner was really rude and did not want to hear our full order. When we finally finished our order, we realised that the total amount was incorrect. When we asked him to repeat this, he questioned us and told us we are lacking mathematical skills from the school we were ordering to. He proceeded to call us dumb, even though he was the one who got the order wrong, just like every past occasion we have ordered with this business. Finally, at the end of the call, he hung up on me which I found extremely disrespectful. I keep on giving this business second chances, since it is located the closest to our school but have come to the decision that this is out final order with them. Please save yourself from any disappointment, and do not order from Ali's. Thank you.
Ordered food online, driver was given wrong phone number our mistake and couldn't find the house. He could not have been waiting for more than 5-10 mins as we came out to find him and he drove just off. After speaking with shop, he phoned back and claimed we had to now pay extra and hung up the phone. Staff at restaurant were unhelpful and the driver never arrived so it seems that I've wasted money on something I'll never get.
The staff are friendly enough but the food is pretty average or below average considering the prices. I never expect high quality from a chip shop burger but this is well below the par and even the chips are only OK. There are better places in maidenhead for good fish and chips.
I had a pizza from here last week. I'm afraid it wasn't nice. It had way too much meat and not enough cheese on, so that when I got it home it was a mess in the box. Although it was a meat feast I was disappointed at the amount of meat on it.
