We had food delivered yesterday. Delivery was good and meal was hot. Food was a disaster! The soups smelt bad, the rest of the food was bland and we had to add soya sauce from our pantry to be able to eat the food. We should have thrown everything in the bin but we were hungry. Never ever again!!!
The double dragon is situated within the Churchill’s hotel and joins to a large bar area situated to the side. I’ve been going to this place for years. The restaurant is large and staff very accommodating and Friendly. A good choice of tables and it can accommodate large groups. It appears very busy and pre booking is always a good choice prior to dropping in. There’s a good choice of food on the menu which includes sole chefs choices. Food is tasty and always arrives fresh and piping hot. Takeaway can be done on their own app or via the phone. Impressive time keeping and food always arrives baking hot. A must go to place when thinking of a cheeky Chinese takeaway
Very good food with an extensive menu. The staff are very polite. Be warned- the portions are large we're big eaters and couldn't finish it all. Very well decorated and very clean. Booking is recommended as it can get busy. Free car parking.
Change name to Double Toilet Paper just Had for the first time and was honestly the worst Chinese food I've ever had. Was on the toilet all night straight after. BBQ sauce on ribs was gross, special chow mein was dry and tasteless. Over-priced too.
Ordered beef curry, steamed rice, chips and veg chow mein. Beef curry sauce ok ish, chips dried up looked like warmed up old chips. The chow mein looked and tasted like it was reheated and the complimentary prawn crackers we not fresh, very little crunch and chewy. Over all poor food and waste of money.
Absolutely abysmal! The food was at least 2 days old and nothing had any flavour whatsoever. The soup was boiled water with old chicken and super over cooked veg and noodles. The “stir fried” veg was completely over cooked, had NO flavour and was a slavered in a snotty sauce! It should be dry and crunchy! All the veg was the same brownish yellow colour. The Singapore noodles we’re clearly not fresh at all and again, no flavour! It’s like they ran out of flavour in the entire restaurant and just over cooked really old food from the previous week. When I tried to ring and sort it out, they said as I ordered with Deliveroo it was up to me to sort it. Me?? They made the disgusting food and it’s my fault?! Wow! What an absolutely terrible customer service experience and experience all round. So so very disappointed.
The seaweed was one of the best I've had and that's where it ends I'm afraid Not sure it's because I'm a holiday maker but the quality was dire the quantity was small. We have eaten all over the country and I would say this is the worst I've eaten. I apologise in advance but if the locals really think this is quality you really need to to broaden your horizons and try some nice food. Salt and pepper ribs deep fried dry and chewy prawn toast greasy crispy one ton super crispy and greasy and chicken curry was disgusting more like a bit of watery gravy at best with dry chicken.

Ordered chicken curry and pork curry and pancake rolls and other things. They sent 2 chicken curries which were awful no pancake rolls but 4 mini spring rolls. Worst chinese we have ever had.
Just had delivered by Deliveroo, food was excellent, Flavours amazing, can’t fault it. Have used another restaurant for years but will definitely be changing now.
