alwaus a great auction and i get incredible deals

The proprietors of this business, the Oleiniks,  are nasty thugs. I am a reseller of fine crystal who deals with auction houses in 8 states and I have never had a bad experience until I dealt with Sunrise. I purchased 4 lots of crystal for approximately $300 from them via auction and one lot which had only 1 item, a decanter set, was noticeably chipped. I complained to Mrs. Oleinik and she told me it was not her fault because items are sold as-is and there is no way they can check everything. I then moved to the front desk but she raced ahead of me to talk to her husband John Oleinik in advance, in another language. He was even more rude and condescending than his wife. He said it explicitly says that items are final and I should have come for a preview. I told him that I lived 60 miles away and I had asked for a condition report but he never responded. He blamed me for using email but not the phone. He then offered to resell the set for me - thereby making even more profit on the damaged goods for himself. In summary, this type of service is well far below the industry standard. When dealing with vintage crystal, items are often chipped. Usually, it is noted on the listings. Sometimes goods are damaged between the postings and pick up. In the majority of cases,  the proprietor makes some attempt even if small to appease the customer; especially those, like myself, who make large repeated purchases. The Oleiniks made no attempts. They bullied me. Take your business elsewhere. Auction houses abound in NJ and the surrounding states. All of them treat their customers better.

All interactions have been wonderful. Their preview day makes decisions on moving forward with bidding a snap.

Was accused of buying 2 guns online telling me I had to pay. Had to spend money going NJGEEKS to find out I was hacked & prove my innocense. Was accused of buying $200 worth of pumpkins when I wasn't even at the auction they have survailence cameras proving I wasn't present at the time. My family member in a matter of a few years, had spent over $40,000 in WWII memorabiia and antique guns at their auction. Recently John lied and went back on his word, his wife did validate the conversation, backing my family member.  The wife is very nice,  John not so much. Lies, arrogance, a bully to good paying customers. Have no intentions of supporting this business ever again

We purchased items from their online auction, won good items at fair prices, picked up in person. Smooth and professional transaction. Nice family business. Also consigned an item for their auction later this month. I recommend dealing with this auction.

I’m at the owners of this auction sometime in the spring they’ve always been professional obliging consignors when they bring their items to the auction house they’re very nice patient sweet I’ve never had any issues with my consignment items and my sister and I have been very happy I recommend them 100% they are professional and if there’s an issue and they would discuss it in a friendly manner

Does not allow reserve bids. Disconnected some wall lights I did not want sold and then did not reconnect. Because he had simply sliced the wires instead of taking them down properly, I had to hire an electrician to reattach properly. He had said he would reconnect them himself, but then would not return phone calls. Also, he and his wife spoke German in front of me while we were trying to make arrangements. I considered that rude and wondered what sort of issues they were discussing that I was not privy to.

So we’re back in December 2018 first time ever going to sunrise Antiques. So being my first time ever going to a antique auction I brought a friend with me I will be both had an extremely great time t the staff was extremely helpful in explaining everything so two thumbs up to the staff there. The one thing I Extremely like about this place is the owner likes to post videos and photos on his Facebook page to promote the upcoming auctions which I find very helpful. They always offer a wide variety of items antique furniture, guns , cars,trucks , trails dishes sign can you name it it’s there highly recommend following him on Facebook at sunrise antique auctioneers

I have been buying and selling at auction for over 50 years .I am very happy with John and his staff in every way . It’s  very hard today to find honest  ,caring people . Very helpful advice for both the buyers and sellers . Getting paid for consignments in a timely manor is a pleasure too .
