Really enjoy the food from here again. It's always great quality and delivered still hot.
Zero stars - my tooth crunched on Little bits of what I thought looked like beef in a plain curry, fried rice and chips. It was hard enough that I couldn’t even cut into it with my steak knife! On closer inspection, looks like a chipped bits of bench? Or floor? Tried calling 30mins before closing to complain but they didn’t answer. Looks like from previous reviews this isn’t the only time foreign objects have made their way into food. Luckily I got this tray. I ordered the exact same thing for my 11yr old which I told her not to eat! I will not be ordering from them again.
I used to order our Chinese takeaway favourites when Raymond owned it. It went downhill for a while when previous owners had it , but it’s now back on track with the new owners!!! I’ve ordered here twice now and on both occasions, the food has been excellent. Will be back..
Went here for first time after lady on till in Aldi recommended it to me while waiting for my order at Yarm fast food Chinese a few months previous n just not getting round to it, and I can honestly say one of best Chinese takeaways I’ve had in years and I’ve had a lot of Chinese throughout the northeast from barnyard castle to Bishop Auckland to Billingham and Stockton and a whole load in between we got the king prawns in batter, Maryland chicken, onion rings chips and curry sauce just to try and although it’s on the expensive side of Chinese takeaway it’s well worth the extra expense everything was cooked perfectly chips were the best from a Chinese we’ve had in years and one portion is more then enough for two people and there not the usual frozen ones you get at just about every takeaway going ! This is our new go to Chinese even with the 20 min drive each way !
Used to be really good. Not anymore. Firstly, curious why it has to be a cash purchase and secondly food ingredients quality not the best especially the meat. This is a shame.
Used them all year, was looking forward to my take away since having covid. 1:20 mins late, So cold. Rang up blamed the lass delivering, will never use again. Deserves minus stars
We regularly order from Sunningdale and we have done for last few years. However our last delivery was dry as sticks and not enjoyable. We wanted to give them a chance today and mentioned the last meal was dry. Instead of apologising they said we should have asked for more sauce. When advised we have used Sunningdale for years they then admitted they have reduced the amount of sauce in there food. Normally we pay by card and especially due to covid we prefer this. However they now take cash only. Annoyed we cancelled our order.
We originally really enjoyed this takeaway. We ordered every week at least twice. One week they delivered the wrong meal, so they agreed to deliver the next meal for free. Unfortunately when I was eating the chicken curry, I almost cocked on a big piece of plastic. This is awful and very unacceptable. We phoned and informed them, but they weren't bothered at all!! Such a shame as we will never go back. Be warned and carefull when eating any meals from this takeaway, To be honest, don't order anything at all!!
Purely a take away. No sit in. Service often prompt within 15minutes but could be longer on busy nights. Does delivery at a cost. Food good and tasty. Quite varied menu. Worth a try.
My family have been coming here for 15+ years and never had a bad meal, change of ownership and BAM … downhill. Shame, all the good reputation of the previous owners down the pan. We used to travel for miles to come here but no more, still can’t find a place like it. Wish places would stop trying to cut costs as I can assume and please their existing customers who are loyal for a reason! Be different from all the others and you will reap the rewards!
