The care I recently received on the SRH maternity unit was outstanding. Every member of staff was so helpful and caring. I felt really well taken care of, they really went the extra mile and made a huge positive impact on my postpartum experience and breastfeed journey.
Absolutely worse care I’ve ever received in my life! They don’t even deserve 1 star. I came in during the wee hours of the morning on Thursday, 29/10, just to be told I had constipation & to go home & drink a couple of satchels. I thought I had a kidney stone, & she didn’t even scan me. Just checked my urine for blood which there wasn’t any. I drank the satchels Friday afternoon, 30/10, and my pain got horrifically worse and I started to vomit over & over & over. Starved all day Saturday to find I have not 1, not 2 but 3 kidney stones. Starved all day Sunday, my surgery didn’t take place. They are starving me today & it’s nearly half past 1. I am a DIABETIC & immune compromised with many other complications. They keep trying to put me on an insulin drip which sends me into hypos. They say they have a “protocol” they must follow. F- their “protocol” when they don’t check my blood sugars for 14 hours!! I think this is blatant NEGLECT!! I just caught a nurse trying to hook me up to insulin again. She said it was “really high”. My Libre 2 says it’s 6.2….. perfect! And 1 night nurse tried to make ME feel bad for having to go search for some anti sickness meds & didn’t even bother to wake me which made me feel even sicker when I woke up!! WTH??!!
Just had a awful experience at A&E the staff were so unprofessional and uncaring towards me. I was in a lot of immense pain and they treated me like I was nothing. The consultant did not know of my sysmptoms and kept making guesses for my diagnosis. They were very confrontational and the staff ganged up to support each other. When I asked for their names they refused and turned their name tags so I couldn't see their names. I am ashamed that I clapped for the NHS during the pandemic. They should be embarrassed and lower their heads in shame of their treatment of me. So I left there in a much worse state of neglect. They low mentality towards patients is shocking.
Had to go to urology for an appointment, staff very pleasant well looked after, nurses and urologist were great very caring. Also had an ultrasound again they were brilliant. Thank you everyone.x
What a farce, arrived a half hour before appointment then spent 55 minuets searching for a parking bay. Couldn't, so had to cancel appointment and return home. A 35 mile round trip for NOTHING what a waste of time and a pensioners valuable money
Totally amazing, all the staff from the surgeons to the nurses to the anaesthesiologists were amazing and so comforting. With it being my first surgery and having to do it on my own with no family, I couldn’t appreciate the staff more, especially the nurses who looked after me after my surgery/and the nurse who held my hand as I cried because I was very confused when I woke up. Thankyou very much to all of you. You’re angels
Hi, I recently booked a stay here for the 1 night, my stay didnt include meals from the a la carte menu, instead I was only allowed to be fed through tubes which I have not experienced in other hotels previously & thought was strange. The room was shared with other guests, 1 of whom dropped his guts so many times you could literally have cut the air with a knife. The uniforms were very unflattering for the amazing staff. I did get a bit of a grope which goes in the plus box though & is part of the reason I gave 3 stars. I also received a tour of the hotel in a wheelchair & the driver refused to accept a tip, true gentleman. 1 thing I would recommend changing is forcing all guests to wear gowns with you're bum on show, when worn the correct way around, I received a warning about this mistake. Its not so much that you're own bum is on show, but nobody needs to see a room full of elderly gentlemens hairy hoops.
Spent more than 5 hours waiting there I had my bloods done waiting to see if I had a kidney infection, it hurt a lot and I asked for paracetamol 3 times and the desk lady just said she would page the nurse who never came. When I told her I was going home untreated she told me I needed to fill out a self discharge form even though I received no care and no treatment except for blood and blood pressure. I waited 10 mins and she still hasn’t printed it out so I just went home.
Very poor A&E 11hrs wait , Mother was admitted. Saw the usual time wasters , which need not to be in A&E . Less than impressed by care give to mother by hospital been in for over three weeks .
absolutely disgraceful, my parter has been spewing constantly since monday and is struggling to keep food, water and antibiotics down therefore he isn’t going to get better. no one will refer him to a ward because it’s a saturday, receptionists are rude and feel like the doctors don’t listen. the experience at this hospital is a joke and not to mention how unhygienic it is
