Sunderland Royal hospital has been offering great medical services. It has its 24/7 emergency services. The hospital is clean and neat and the nurses are doing exceptionally good. Offering g great services to humanity. There is a little renovation going on on the outside and this is well managed to avoid any form of crisis. Great service
Had a hearing aid break on me today, and I need to be able to hear to do my job as a chef! Tried contacting audiology to see about getting an emergency repair. Receptionist wouldn’t even let me speak to a single audiologist to see if I can bring it in to see if it’s possible to repair said hearing aid. They expect me to wait a week whilst missing out on work and income. This has got to stop! More than happy for examinations and assessments needing appointments but for repairs in my circumstances shouldn’t be an issue. Do you feel big taking away somebodies impairment? Do better. I’m not a pensioner or a child, I’m a regular working tax paying citizen and should be able to rely on the NGS when I need them. Will I be reimbursed for loss of income? No. Can I afford loss of income? No! And unsurprisingly I got the most condescending attitude from receptionists who wouldn’t even let me speak to an audiologist. Might have been a five minute job but we’ll never know that thanks to their negligence.
I cannot believe the efficiency of the Rheumatoid arthritis dept staff at Sunderland Royal Infirmary and I rarely write reviews. My experience is nothing short of amazing. All of the staff, my brilliant Dr Manchegouda have been so thorough, helpful and compassionate. Even your Dracula nurse Pam?? manages to get blood out of me.quite easlily and that has been a problem in recent years.Although I live about 35 minutes drive away I’m so pleased that my GP strongly suggested it would be worth travelling as to your Department as she praised you very strongly.
I was 10 minutes late to an appointment due to no parking spaces and I couldn’t walk and needed a wheel chair. I got into the urgent care centre and the lady at reception was so rude to me. Her tone of voice was quite aggressive, I then waited an hour for an appointment I should’ve gone straight in for. To then find out I had to wait 4 hours, I explained that 111 had said I needed to be seen within the hour due to my injury and I was spoken to the same again so I walked out and had to go somewhere different.nnI understand I was late but it was completely out of my control and the staff could have been much nicer to me.
Taken to A and E by ambulance with chest pains. From stepping into the ambulance to being discharged every single member of staff was amazing! So understanding and helpful. Bloods, ECG, chest Xray and seen by DR all in the space of 4 hours. Fantastic care and so friendly and efficient. Thank you!
