Compared to other local councils such as south tyneside durham and newcastle this bunch are a sick joke . more interested in protecting their management jobs than doing what they are paid tobdo . i have lived here my entire life and i am ashamed of them all .

The closing of so many libraries was a disgrace. Kayll Road was supposed to be opening as a community library , to date this has not happened . There is NOTHING on the website about what is (or is not)happening about this . Tried contacting City Library but the answering machine is switched on. In addition there is a lot of out of date info on libraries and their opening times,when they are in fact closed!

Needs a complete shake up, overhaul and rethink. This council has spent millions on gagging orders while at the same time cutting services. It also suffers from cronyism and is viewed as a labour run rotten apple. Its currently trying to be a city of culture contender and has formed a business with carillon, a company in dire straits which may go into administration.

Cant get intouch with them if you work 8.30-5 theyre always closed nd no email address. Contacted 6wks ago problem never solved rubbish city council

Quite easy to get lost here, unfortunately. The council need signs pointing towards wherever you want to go. I only go this way because it's the quickest way from Mowbray Park to the interchange. If you can't get through when it's closed then it's a bit of a pain if you want to get from Mowbray park (if it's open)to the interchange, or vice versa. Shame really.
