I ordered a bike through Summit Cycles and had it fitted by Jim. Having been an avid cyclist for years I have spent too much money on new bikes, titanium parts and carbon fibre. Without doubt the best money I have ever spent was on the bike fit. Jim discussed what I wanted from the fit, I was after an efficient riding position for long stints in the saddle but had a knee and lower leg issue from previous riding injuries. Jim suggested a number of adjustments on my new bike and even fitted new insoles to my shoes to help get my knee correctly aligned. I was so impressed with the instant results my partner also had a bike fit. All the information from the fit was forwarded on to me so I can always make sure my bike is perfectly fitted. Jim kindly offered to take a look at my position in the months following to see if any further adjustments could be made. I cannot recommend this service enough. Done after normal shop hours no one was walking round shopping and I even tried a new saddle as part of the fit. I have ridden over 1500 miles on my new bike and honestly don't know how I put up with my old set up for so long.

Had a problem with my Specialized Ruze that I bought from Summit - the crank fell apart. Jim from Summit raised the issue with Speicalized and gained Specialized support to replace the broken crank free of charge. Jim was excellent and provided a great level of after sales support. I recommend buying a bike from Summit if you are local to Aberystwyth. Bikes do go wrong and having a shop and great staff that go the extra mile is a huge benefit. If i'd bought this on line it would have been a nightmare. Thanks to everyone in the Summit team for your ongoing support i've had throughout the years.

I was at the shop last summer while touring through Wales. I had my bike rack broken and they took as much time for me to look for a screw wich fitted as for other customers who bought a complete bike. They also fastened the other rack parts with some locktight. The price was really fair. I would definitelly advice people going there If they wan't their bike fixed properly. Proper Local Bike Shop run by cyclists for cyclist. They will go to any and all lengths to sort out any bike/bike fit problems. Having way too many bikes, I am there week in week out, and I wholeheartedly recommend Summit Cycles.

Avoid. Terrible customer service, refused to tighten a pedal on a kids bike without booking it in 2 weeks time, then tried to sell me a spanner for £17 to do it myself. Go to Halfords, staff MUCH friendlier, and cheaper!
