After interacting with the Vice principal of the school , Mr. Henry Redhead, I found that this school the best school in the whole world. Just loved this school. I wish I was a student there. 😍😍😍

As a teacher, and houseparent at Summerhill School, for some 14 years, and having been here during the famous court case in 1999, I think the school is outstanding. Indeed as Ofsted found in 2012, our last inspection, everything was "outstanding" apart from our record keeping, which we deliberately keep to a minimum, as we believe learning is not about being measured and compared. We have a brilliant teaching and pastoral team, who co-ordinate through staff meetings each week, and help each other with professional development and teaching at the school.

You need to be very careful to decide how long your child attends to that private school. Summer Hill does not teach the children to prepare to be a responsible adult. My in-law family attended there from ages 6 to 16. He's struggled to get ready to be an adult and couldn't keep up a paid job. He started to smoke pots when he was in an undergraduate university. He fell ill with great depression and was forced to move in with his parents. There he lived for 10 years and went to a hospital many times. Until the age of 38 he finally ended his life with no note left or good byes to his family. Summer Hill School might make your child's future a tragedy because there's no control in how to live a good life.

I was exchange student from Denmark in 1956, and met A. S. Neill and his wife. Great educators.
