Food was 45min late. Overall ok but crispy beef was so spicy we could not eat it. I have never tasted anything so much spicy. Ruined the meal. Will not order again
Friendly and welcoming better than most restaurants on Chester.Food: 5/5
Disappointed with the service. Restaurant clearly not prepared and took ages to take drinks order and food order. When arrived no rice and had to wait until food had gone cold. To top it all off the order was wrong and some had to be recooked. This has been good in the past may be it just had a off day. However, may have to reconsider the next time when choosing a place to eat in Chester
Aw gutted, not good! Was really excited to try this place. Pinched a king prawn from the top while I was dishing up, and it tasted of nothing, absolutely nothing! Had to add so much salt and chilli sauce to the noodles to make it taste of something. Never had to salt Chinese food ever! And £8 for noodles that weren’t tasty is quite expensive.
Got chicken curry sauce but had hardly any sauce. Salt n pepper chips were normal chips in a box with onions no salt n pepper taste atall. Overall for the price was substandard. Won't be ordering again.
What's happened here? Whenever we stay in Chester we order a delivery from Summer Palace. Today As per Michael McIntyre we purused the online menu and decided to order what we always do. However we were told "We don't do that anymore. We've revamped the menu". Online menu hasnt been updated. Anyway , we found a printed menu that had been pushed through the letterbox. Afraid we left disappointed. The previous full cardboard container of Salt & Pepper chicken strips has been replaced with a handful of chicken wings. The 4 X satay skewers was one short and the main course was also not up to previous standard. Sorry but not good enough to consider using again
Under new management. Really wasnt impressed with the new menu. More expensive for less food. Quality of food wasnt as a good as well. Always happy to give places a chance but i was very disappointed
I had to use this place as it was the inly Chinese thst could use my card. The service was cold as soon as i walked in. A youngish girl and a man where behind the counter. There was nothing welcoming about. No plesse and thankyous' no manners whatsoever. It akways feels pretty funny to me to go and spend your monry somewhere andvthe people tsking the money treatvyou like they don't care if you are there or not. the old man didn't even raise his head to look at me when he took my card payment. He just spurted '15 minute'. No good buy, thanks. That was it. After looking into my bag if 3 items there was no fork or napkins. The guy rounded the whole miserable experience by handing me a single napkin. More people really need to stand up to this type of lack of service when yhey psrt with their money. These 2 really need sone education. I will never return.
No where near as good as the Shanghai on Hoole Rd. The dishes and cutlery are grimy and dirty. The food is greasy, the rice dry and the sweet and sour ‘pork’ is more batter than meat. Same price for three people as it is for four at the Shanghai. Do not go here
In chester this weekend went to summer palace as usuall and wow what a tasty banquet duck was exceptional so was the rest of meal too if fact went back next night too different banquet we tried and amazing the 2 girls serving are fabulous its so in order an organised andthe owner managervery nice too first night was a sat and was full at around 7pm and was full but he manadged to seat us ..very busy take away too well worth a visit cant wait to go back thankyou guys
