The gym has recently been renovated, it is very busy especially when students return from university. The studio has not been renovated, the equipment is old and with clear signs of wear & tear, especially the yoga blocks, straps and matts. The heating during classes in this area is inconsistent and sometimes quite cold when classes are held. The toilets in general are dirty, the cleanliness is not good, it is true that it is a busy place but the standards are very low. This needs to be improved. The staff are nice but there is no attitude of going the extra mile for the customer.When I experience doubts a few times they wasn't able to give me help or point me in the right direction. I go because I get a discount from my job, but if I had to pay the full membership it definitely doesn't worth value for money. Positive thing:Quite a few teachers from the classes are quite goodspecially yoga
I went to this gym for the first time as I received a free day pass and I was so impressed by the service! Sam gave me a free padlock for the lockers and they weren’t unlocking so he helped me solve this issue… twice! I also love how many equipment and facilities were available. The temperature of the gym was kept cold, making it comfortable for a sweaty workout. The changing rooms and toilets were clean as well. Because of the great experience I’ve had and the student discount, I’ll be getting a membership at this gym.
Went for vegan fest. Beautiful space. Large, well staffed. Clean toilets. Outdoor benches. Lots of street parking. Easy walk from Oxford Road.
A large building with several halls. Facilities looked good. It was the Manchester Model Railway exhibition that was on when I visited. Plenty of space to look around. Toilets were clean.
Don't try booking anything here. It's incredibly difficult to find a slot to start with. Then, when you manage to find a slot, you're not guaranteed it will be honoured even when the confirmation email comes through. And what's worse is you don't get reimbursed, you get Credit on your Better account. So you don't even get your money back when they cancel. I booked a badminton session, it got confirmed, then cancelled due to a "change in scheduling", and now I'm £11.50 poorer with no free slots to book a new session.
Went to a pop up market that our niece @emylieomalley #retrogarms was selling at, great venue, lots of students, she sells vintage clothing,it was very busy,but what a great idea to utilise the sports centre in this way.
Very frustrating that you can no longer book badminton. Even when looking in the morning as soon as they're usually released it says '0 spaces available'. This is no longer a sports facility for the general public.
Cancelled our booking for the badminton courts because of a "change in schedule" whatever that means. Didn't offer a means of rebooking but the most annoying part is they refunded me in credits! I don't want to book again after this so I'd rather have my money back! Or at least give me the decency if having the option. What an awful service
I’ve only ever used the squash courts and they have always been clean and reasonably priced
The centre is in a pretty good location but there is a parking issue. 1 hr parking only or you have to park your car in nearby garden areas and walk
