Mice Problem Lived there for 2 years, I lived on ground floor on the first year, mice came behind the fridge and gave me the worst night in England. I complained the next day, problem didn't solve for at least a month. At least 3 mice were killed by myself with mice traps, more mice escaped through my door into my neighbours room. The worst is the office people didn't do anything about my nightmare until they arrange a new room after a long period of time. I left early because of the mice problem, they even write a court letter to my parent to chase my rent!!!! ridiculously management doesn't care to solve this problem. Wished to complaint but the officer doesn't care. If you only have the last choice of the room, leave it please and find somewhere else, I trust you can get a better room than I do!

Half star for the bad experience. Won't recommend anyone to it. No night time check-in service. Never know what items are missing. Same temperature as outside. Lovely mice. Londonderry House is truly recommended or other accommodation.

Overall, living in a flat at the Old Fire Station was alright, however there are a few things that I didn't like about this accommodation. First of all, for the money paid for my room I expected at least to have more cleaning supplies at my disposal since our flat got dirty quite often and we had to buy a vacuum cleaner ourselves and other supplies. Second of all, regarding the room, it is spacious enough, but no window that can be open in Bandstand, meaning we only get air ventilation, barely. During the winter it got pretty cold and during the spring a bit too warm. Moreover, no wardrobe space whatsoever and the flooring was a pain to clean. Third of all, the communication between the reception and tenants is not as good as I expected, my flatmates and I having complained about certain things throughout the year and no amendments have been done regarding that, as well as not receiving replies to e-mails/phone calls. I don't recommend this accommodation if you have any other options.

MICE MICE MICE MICE MICE !!!!!!!!! DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!! IT IS INFFESTED WITH MICE WHO GET INTO UR ROOM IN THE NIGHT! IVE SEEN 3 IN MY ROOM IN ONE GO. AND THE STAFF DO ABSOLUTLEY NOTHING ABOUT IT ! WHEN YOU TELL THEM THEY TRY AND TELL YOU ITS NORMAL AND SAID ‘THEIR ONLY MICE’ THEY WONT EVEN MOVE YOU ROOMS. CONSIDERING THE PLACE IS OVER PRICES ALREADY, I WOULDNT WASTE ANOTHER PENNY DISGUSTING PLACE TO LIVE!

DO NOT LIVE HERE IF - You enjoy being a normal tempeture - rooms get either too cold in the winter or too hot in the summer - enjoy being clean, these rooms are disgusting the flooring is so terrible and needs to be mopped approximatly 10times an hour. - shower (minimum once a day) the showers block every day. Also maintence come at like 10am. Who wants to be up before 12pm - enjoy using your mobile device, inc’ making phone calls. There is no signal atall, you can only use wifi making phone calls a nono - Drive - although there is a massive parking area, you are refused access to park unless you are disabled or work at wok and go (even though wok and go workers dont pay £8000+ rent a year but hey what can you do) - Enjoy privacy. Workers are ‘allowed’ to walk into your room without permission, if you arent home or just simply dont answer to do their own checks (which most likely dont benefit you) YES this means they will walk in, if you are in the shower, having a nice dump, having fun with your partner (or on your own), or sleeping (this could be naked) - enjoy clear skin. - this place gave me acne due to how dirty it gets -like good lighting - it was SOOOO HARD for my to do my makeup as the lighting was actually ridiculous!! My window was really Big but due to another building blocking my way it was impossible to look good, your better of doing ur make up with your eyes closed, not even the lights helped. Also this means no good selfies unless you use the light from the fridge -enjoy nice staff - considering you live there, you should feel comfortable and happy, some staff are nice others are just rude, you ask a question if they choose its a dumb question, they give a sarcastic blunt response. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PLACE !!!
