The staffs here constantly prepare for events or provides some sweets or excitements to support students. The clean and comffrtable accommodation helps me to feel home sweet home eve outside of my home country. The increase in the rent fee was relatively reasonable given the housing crisis and the energy crisis. The malfunction of laundry was a negativity but it was technically not the Student Castln's fault anyway. Yurika Morii

Great place to live! The staff are professional and I always feel looked after here. My flat has been a comfortable place to stay the last two years, and I'm looking forward to spending the third year of my program living here. It's also a great location, close to City Centre shopping and restaurants, walking trails around the river, Durham University campus, and the train station. Highly recommended!
I cannot recommend this place enough. The staff is friendly and helpful and the services such as maintenance are efficient and reliable. In my first week of living here, a screw was loose in my wardrobe, I filled a maintenance request and had a knock on my door just 5 minutes later to fix it.nnStudent Castle Durham also has a modern gym and a fully equipped cinema room that you can acces at any time you want.nI would say that it is the perfect accommodation for third years as well as posgraduate student, or those students who prefer a calm and private environment. Student Castle also has a deficated area for studying, which is always quiet.nnAll communal spaces are always clean. Additionally, you feel safe, as there are security guards present from the evening.
I really enjoyed my year at Student Castle; I wish I wasn't a finalist, or that something similar existed for graduates!nnThe reception, security and cleaning staff are all very friendly and attentive. There is round the clock help if you need to collect parcels or use the facilities.nnThe rooms are light and modern with good amenities and good water pressure including a rain shower. Heating works well, so rooms are very warm in the cold Durham winters. Beware they can be a bit stuffy in the summer months, I'd advise buying a fan if you've got hayfever and can't have the windows open.nnStudios do not come with a kettle or toaster.
