Never on time that's when they actually do turn up. One of the drivers drives at a snails pace whilst taking hands free the whole journey, his passengers safety should come first not having a conversation oh and he was already 25mins late and no apology given. Shocking company!
Extremely unreliable. Drivers are first class but it seems there's only a few of them these days and the 317 I usually use is a gamble in the evenings. More than once the bus has just not turned up leaving me to wait an hour and a half for the next. Worse still when asked about this on their Facebook page they claimed buses were running fine.
I use Stuart’s Coaches for the 31 route from City Centre Glasgow to Carmunnock/ Carmunnock to City Centre. By no doubt this is way better and cheaper than first bus but my only issue is that… the bus route starts at 20:20 every night and all day Sunday, but this service is once an hour. It would be tremendous if this specific bus route could run all day everyday. I’m pretty sure, it would have a lot more business.
Driver smoking on the bus. Number 32 service from Lanark. This has happened twice. My partner who is disabled has to sit at the front of the bus due to mobility issues. The driver lights up a cigarette while driving the bus. 1st time it happened she requested he put out his cigarette. The driver refused. It Happened again today, 1st Feb 2023 same driver. As it's a smaller bus used on this route the smell and smoke of the cigarette wafts through the whole bus. She also has a lung issue which cigarette smoke makes worse. We called Stuart's to inform them of this. The person on the end of the phone told her to get another bus. This driver has not been spoken to or Stuart's just doesn't care. I know there is a shortage of drivers for busses. But this is ridiculous.
Waiting for 240X at Law Road End. Bus came with nothing lit up at front identifying bus. Consequently, sailed past stop. 3 passengers waiting who all had to make alternative arrangements.
Useless service. Buses seldom run on time, they've not stopped for me before and have on several occasions turned what should be a 15 min journey into 2 and half hours because they don't know how to run a service. They deserve to go bust!
Worked at stuart's coaches and they would give me somebody's else disclosure details ...which I was surprised at ..and the manager Chris asked me if I would like coke..very surprised as he was on the road driving at the time...just show you how they operated.....well known rubbish company to work for in the bus industry
If I could leave a zero I would. Booked 2 coaches for my wedding, only 1 showed up. Guests stranded in the pouring rain, uncontactable and put a real downer on the end of our day. Avoid this company at all costs
Bus drivers who worked in stuart's coaches who did not have a disclosure Scotland for school work...where given the name and date of birth of a driver who did have a disclosure for schools on a bit pf paper and told to use that if stopped by SPT..this is very Dangerous and fraud...but because of a high turnover of drivers. That is how they got school buses on the road....
Had no issues with the company until recently. Buses suddenly never appeared for second half of the day. It happened earlier in the summer and happened more recently. Stranded! Ok there's a shortage of drivers but I don't trust the company now and have had to change what I do. One less Passager at least. SPT management inefficiency?
