Very poor service. Noone really gave a s*** about us, just passed the dresses on to go and try them on.... when I did and I couldnt pull up a zip becauze it was too small they saod you need to hold it together by yourself and see if it fits.. and then order it in your size... well if I cannot see properly how it fits how could I order it for X hundred pounds??? Ridiculous service... noone smiled at us nothing.... we went to Burton om trent to the outlet and Ive received a more quality service than here....

Absolutely disgusting service from a very arrogant and rude woman. The dress wasn't of the quality I would expect for the money we spent and we have 1 very upset daughter as result. We would not be returning there. We mentioned that other people had a bad experience and the lady in charge demanded we tell them who it was so they can track them down and challenge them. Really not how you treat people who have just spent 100's of pounds in your shop. If it wasn't for having no dress at all we would definitely have requested our money back. There is no communication between staff or their so called 'independent' people. Utterly appalled

When we first visited this store the staff was lovely! Very helpful.... We chose a dress and the staff member said we have a lady who does all our alterations but I need to pay cash to her because she works as self employed. I phoned on a Tuesday to arrange pick up but she said it hadn't been done and she would ring me back later that day.....2 days later I phoned back and she said to pick up the dress after 2pm. I went after 2pm..... the alterations was not complete.... I said to the lady I was speaking to someone who had the same complaints.... the woman proceeded in shouting at me demanding I give her the name and number so she can confront her!!! I felt very intimidated but said no I wasn't going to do that.... I asked if there would be a discount on the alterations due to the poor service and the dress not being done but she said it wasn't up to her which I agreed. I suffer with my health and cant walk far and she wouldn't except the final £5 by card and told me to walk up to town and get it!!! I told her I couldn't as I have problems walking and she said it's not far!!!! Since then my husband put a review on due to the poor service.... We recieved a threatening phone call from the strides lady stating that if we didn't take the review off she would be taking us to court! Then when my husband said he was well within his right she threatened to do a public notice to humiliate our daughter!!! People should be aware of this behaviour.... she looks such a genuine mature lady but in fact is very aggressive.

I would just like to state that the staff at the store are incredibly helpful and the dresses are well made (Subject to the issues I am about to come to...) and as long as you are aware of the problems I experienced they are incredibly good quality. My fiancee arranged for her bridesmaid dresses to be done by Strides and at the time we were made aware that if Strides took the measurements they would be responsible for getting the dresses as close and any minor adjustments might be handled elsewhere. So understanding this we arranged for the various maids to travel from around the country at not considerable expense but certainly not cheap to get their measurements, this all seemed well... HOWEVER This was not the case when we collected the dresses we found that some were significantly off except for maybe one of the measurements such as around the waist leaving the bust significantly out... We were both annoyed at this but assumed that since the measurements were so out that it would not be an issue. On attempting to sort the problem out we were told that this was not covered and that we would have had this explained at some point at the start. Now this would have been alright however everyone involved was under the same impression that the dresses would be best fit and that the dresses will be as close as possible.... This brings me on to customer service and I understand that there is a limit to what store front customers can do however the store was absolutely uncaring just saying there was nothing they could do and that the cost of getting the dresses fitted would have to come out of my own pocket and that they only order closest fit. The dresses are wonderful however I will never shop there again, dresses were nice and quality was good however customer service was rubbish I therefore will not recommend the store for a complete lack of service after they had delivered the dresses. Would be much better to go buy dresses from another store and get them fitted your own and cut out this rather pointless middle store...

We had a very poor experience with this shop and would not recommend it to anyone! They are simply the ‘middle men’ in a supply chain. The dresses they supply are bought in and you are then expected to pay an additional ‘tailoring’ fee to have them fit. You’d be much better off buying on line or going directly to the dress making company! My daughters, who were thrilled to be asked to be bridesmaids, were duly measured a year before the wedding on the understanding that allowance would be made for growth but that the dresses would be made to fit. Only one of the three dresses could be described as even roughly fitting. Only at that point did the shop make it clear that any alterations would have to be made at additional cost and since we live 3 hours away we chose to go elsewhere. When challenged on this, the woman in the shop was evasive, a letter of complaint had to be followed up by two phone calls before the manager responded and then all he would say was that the dresses are never ‘made to measure’ and ‘everyone else is happy with their service’. Well, we were not and would strongly advise others to shop elsewhere and get better service and value for their money.
