This used to be a thriving shopping centre. It's not anymore due to local politics only two major shops remain. Quality save Aldi and JD sports Tesco went. Now boots closing up.
Not been here in a long time. The reason I'm rating it low is because there's building work going on so there's not so much to see with many shops closed. The day we went Boots had just closed. I'm sure once renovations are completed I'll rate it higher. We went in a couple shops and then to Costa for a coffee. The Costa was very nice.
Honestly a dump with a handful of gems, namely the ALDI just outside, the Costa is good, heron is alright, quality save is quality save, and a nice cafe sort of thing which, while I've never used, I think is very good for the elderly. Other stores are mostly tacky pop ups and its absolutely littered with empty, unused spaces for stores that jumped ship years ago, and absolutely dead stores on the upper floor. It just about does the job for necessities but don't move to/visit Stretford for this... it's not worth it and it needs a lot of work to become a competent mall like it once was
I received a parking fine whilst shopping at Stretford Mall because my car was not parked within the lines, this was because the car parked to my left was straddling my bay and made it impossible to park straight within my bay, It was the only bay left and the surrounding areas are covered with double yellow lines. I had a stroke last March and as a result I suffer from ill health. I appealed the fine and told them all this but they just couldn't care less, all they want is the £100.00 fine. I am currently receiving universal credit and the £100.00 they want just covers our food for the month so we will be left with no money and nothing to eat for a month. They really are disgusting vultures and couldn't give a monkeys. So beware when shopping at this cash trap or it could cost you a lot more than your shopping.
Just bring your own swimming suit and possible boat please #Terrible place
