Value menu was excellent, especially the steak, and the service was professional. Unfortunately, I was too stuffed to try the dessert. Will definitely go again.Food: 5/5
The food is incredibly good and the service is excellent! I highly recommend this place for dinner.Food: 5/5
"I came here for steak" were my opening words to the staff who greeted me. I was not disappointed with my top of the menu T-bone! Gosh it was so succulent! I hope we can pull together soon the realisation that cattle are vital for a healthy and nutritional diet before the Big Food monoculturalist agricultural system persuades us of their globalised plant based agenda.
This was an interesting dining experience. Inside seating is quite minimal, and sort of feels like you are in someone’s home. I was not a huge fan of sitting very close to other tables, to the point of being able to hear other conversations. The vegetarian food options were pretty tasty though and they serve a fair Murphy’s and bottle of wine. The menu is a little strange and not sure I liked the fixed price aspect. Not sure how flexible they are with it, but basically had to order a main and either a app or dessert to go with it at a fixed price. I prefer more flexibility when choosing, but that’s just me.
A perfect beer with a local T-Bone. A very good Irish dinner. Food: 4/5
Me and my girlfriend were there for a date we shared the prawn starter and it was lovely. Then I had the T bone steak which I have to say it was the best steak I ever had while she had the 14 hour slow cooked beef which was a bit over done and tough to eat.Food: 4/5
I've travelled a lot and experienced a lot of local food in that time. We went to Strasbourg Goose last night for our first dinner in Cork and I have to say that if you go here you won't be disappointed. In fact, you will be longing to go back again! The service was five star from the staff. The Garlic mushrooms were great, but the liver pate was sublime. But the crowning glory of the meal was the Fillet Steak. Hands down the best steak I have ever eaten. Juicy, melted in your mouth, and was accompanied perfectly with Pepper sauce, sautéed mushrooms and onions with a side of chips. Proper chips none of that french fries rubbish. Every single mouthful was the same as the one before - superb. The restaurant itself is small, intimate, but cosy. But that's how this restaurant should be and the service provided is second to none. So if you are ever in Cork make sure to put this restaurant on your list of places to go. You won't be disappointed.
Absolutly fantastic. Very delicious and low prices. A Offer is Starter and Main Course for 20 Euro - amazing. The Brownie was also worth killing.Food: 5/5
Great restaurant in a cozy, living room like atmosphere. The owner sat and chatted with us for a few minutes as well and she was just lovely! Food was top notch and tasted great. Prices were very reasonable as well! I had a swordfish, my wife had the braised lamb shank, and my mother in law had the monk fish. All were delicious!
Really nice restaurant. 1st time here but i will defo come back. I had the chicken liver pâté for starter served with lovely bread and then the sirloin steak served with wedges and pepper sauce all accompanied with a glass of red wine. The ambiance is great, the decor kept to the traditional house.Food: 4/5
