10 days after a request for a referral and still no answer. Zero communication. Cannot reach the practice via phone.
With my recent health issues i feel the practice has not been as proactive as it could have been. I recently had a knee operation canceled due to the hospital finding i had high blood pressure. Goring Hall who were to carry out the procedure as an NHS patient recommended i see a Cardiologist, the latest estimation is that could take up to 30 weeks. I have recently been informed by Goring Hall that the operation can take place but not at Goring Hall as they don't have the necessary cardiac facilities. I don't know if I'm on the list for this to be carried out at another Hospital or not. I was recently contacted by the surgery in relation to the wearing of a 24 hr heart monitor, which i agreed to, I'm still waiting for this to happen. Since being diagnosed with high blood pressure on the 13/01/2022 i have been prescribed tablets for Blood pressure, but i have not yet seen a doctor to discuss my condition or what i should or shouldn't do.
I have been with this practice for over a year. Each time I have phoned I have been treated with kindness, courtesy and efficiency. I consider this surgery one of the best I have ever used and would like to thank you for the great service you provide.
Booked me in for my first covid vaccine, then when I get to there they say I can't have it, book me in for an appointment at 2 weeks later. Then when I go for my second one they say I am not even on the system and booked in so I have to come back another time, I don't know what is wrong with their systems but you really need to sort it out for this to be fit for purpose for people to actually have access to healthcare.
Just had my COVID 19 Vaccination there, 2 hours ago and I got to say that I am really impressed! I felt a genuine community spirit within the Centre. The nurse who administered the jab was really understanding of my fear of needles! Those nurses are really professional and they do such a fantastic job towards each and every one of us! They surely put my mind at ease. Great job! They do not get recognised by their hard work, dedication and determination to get us better!
Edited: Since my last review I have used the surgery a number of times and can now say that the service has greatly improved. From a star rating of 2 I now give the surgery a 5. I hope they can keep it up : ---------- If you download the apps they recommend to order repeat prescriptions with Airmid UK, and Patient Access, you soon realise that this surgery isn't even listed. This means many of the key functions of the app are unavailable and the long winded process of signing up means the apps are virtually pointless. Trying to order a repeat prescription is not something you can do over the phone either. You have to do it via email. But don't expect it to be sent to the pharmacy you chose! After 3 visits to the surgery pre-covid-19 to explicitly state where my prescriptions need to go, and having seen staff members appear at least to make notes on my record, they still go to my old pharmacy. 3 times so far! What do I have to do for someone to get it right? Another reviewer made the comment that they felt the surgery had taken on too many patients too quickly having expanded with its new building. I am inclined to agree.
The Nurses were really good with dealing with me post-surgery, and blood tests have always been completely effortless. Getting an appointment can be difficult, if you phone more than 5 seconds after 8am you probably won't get one that day. That said, whenever I've had anything urgent, they've always managed to fit me in.
Best doctors. A few weeks ago this surgery changed their appointment booking system it now is fab .at 8 in the morning is when everyone phones that is why it takes so long to have a call answered ,bear in mind there are a lot of people under this surgery .the best time to call is later in the day. The reception team is very efficient. The doctors are kind and very good .
I never had a problem with this surgery since they moved. They have clearly taken on more patients that they can’t cope with, you cannot get an appointment and the phones are constantly busy. This issue needs addressing immediately.
The appointments system here needs a major overhaul. We all know the NHS is stressed and under-resourced, but the system here is flawed. The recorded messages and staff don't give you accurate information, so you don't know what is booked and what is available. Tried to schedule a non-urgent appointment and was told to call on the Monday, only to find they'd pre-booked all the slots weeks ago! Why not tell me this on the original call and book for the next available week?! The recorded messages tell you nothing is available and to go away, there's never any appointments on the same day, despite calling as soon as they are open and the online system never has anything available, either. It's like they just want you to go to A&E or stay home and never get anything checked. On the plus side, on the times when I have been able to see someone, treatment has been good. However, this definitely feels like a practice that is drowning, not waving in the current climate.
