I had an appointment to see Ms Varsha Abraham and have to compliment her. Ms Abraham listened to me and prescribed accordingly. I felt better within 5 days. She was amazing. Thank you Ms Abraham.
Have been with both surgeries the majority of my life, before they almelgonated into one, becoming known as Stourport Medical Centre, as a new recent build. Most of my appointments,due care and attention, has been incredibly supportive, but unfortunately there was a period, that's had an everlasting effect on me, that wasn't so pleasant a phase. If you can understand the menopause, and the terrible time I had, whilst obviously going through it, it was a terrible time of my life. Not explained to me either, so I had absolutely no idea, what was actually happening to my body, and mind, and the emotional turmoil I encountered, could have been dealt with much better, by the medical crew, as a whole.
Very friendly reception staff, however, unfortunately have been with York street and now stourport medical centre. And have never had such poor quality of care. I have severe asthma, and often have life threatening attacks. It’s either the doctors or asthma nurses don’t know much about the condition or they don’t care? Shown by attempting to reduce important parts of my medication, prescribed by a private doctor, not them Had bloods taken for my condition which is life threatening, but no one ever got back to me?Also was refused my appointment today because I was 6 minutes late coming from Shropshire, typical stourport medical centre. And these examples are in the past couple of years, regardless of the last 15 years. This shows the ethos of this practice in my opinion. A true discredit to the rest of the staff. I will now be moving to great Whitley practice
An hour to get through to a receptionist on the phone. After all that, they wouldn’t book my appointment as couldn’t find a hospital request..neither could management apparently. It feels like they can’t wait to get you off the phone and that the goal is to make as few appointments as possible?! Hospital confirmed it was on there so half an hour later I drove to the medical centre as even in traffic this was quicker and gave a better result because the Receptionist found the request immediately and confirmed it had been there since last summer. Two hours of my day to sort out an appointment is unbelievable really. It is actually quite worrying that a team member and member of management are this incompetent in a medical setting. Instead of making lives easier they just give you the run around unnecessarily and insinuate that you are lying. I asked for an apology from these staff but didn’t get one. Just an old woman came out on their behalf with excuses and a very reluctant barely there apology. 22,000 customers does not have anything to do with the matter in hand I think she was taught how to deflect from a situation rather than be empathetic.
Clean modern surgery. Lift access to upper floors. Staff are lovely when you can get to see them.
