My daughter used the storage facilities in Blackburn for a few weeks whilst she was moving home and I helped her organise everything. Even though I wasn’t able to go to the branch myself the staff were really helpful over the phone and were really accommodating. It was the best value for money compared to other options and my daughter had all the space she needed to store her items safely for a few weeks.

I have two units at Blackburn.  I have emptied one unit completely and have just paid £764.40 for another six months rental.  Included in that amount is £208.00 2k Std Contents Protection.  When I originally rented the units, I was told that this was insurance and could be increased by paying a higher premium.  I have just told Blackburn that I no longer require the insurance because my own contents insurance provides better protection.  I have been told that it now not insurance and is mandatory.  That stinks
I have also tried to vacate the other unit over the phone and by email, only to be told that I have to attend the site before the contract is up to sign a piece of paper.  Its not as if I'm going to run off with anything.  The unit is clean empty and does not need me present to sign a piece of paper.  I am unable to discuss my issues with a manager and all that happens is that a female hides behind 'Procedure'. That stinks.  I would not recommend this storage firm if they were the last in the area.  As soon as possible I will be removing my property from their site.
