2 years of my life wasted! My first tutor got offered a new job and left halfway through the course and then after months without a tutor they hired someone who didn't know what they were actually doing and instead of teaching us anything he would just argue with us instead. I am very disappointed in this college and I wish I never came!
I had one of the best experiences here. My tutors were exceptionally remarkable and always made sure that they went an extra mile to make our college experience a million times awesome.
Great college. The new building looks beautiful and the education in this college is really really good. You get taught by highly professionals. Very friendly environment!
Small college, no on site parking so you have to pay, around£5 for the day. My teacher are a good laugh so can't complain.
i lay brucks day be day to go college. I luv it and make it wurth it wiv me friends and stuf. teechers make me life hell tho and gota get to nelson tavern after 1 leson, wel gud at pewl there get on me. 1010 pewl plur
Absolute joke! Missed half a year education because lack of teachers and then they have us doing stuff that is irrelevant to the course. We have missed the education side if our plumbing due to teaching staff being low. We are now doing online stuff that has nothing to do with the course but is taking time away from the classroom, which is very frustrating! We are all trying to catch up now there's enough staff and we have no option to do this to keep the administration of our backs. VERY FRUSTRATING!
Terrible experience even thought its been more than 10 years since I have study at Stockport College its been a horrible experience I am still feeling the effects of this place. I dont blame the college itself its my classmates who gave me a bad experience. Its hard to forget but once you had a bad time you tend to not to forget it. I wish I did not come to this college or should have study something different instead and hopefully end up with good classmates and make alot of friends but unfortunately that did not happen. Everytime you watch a teen movie. They go to college and have a good time at college. They go to party and have fun and make alot of friends but unfortunately my time at Stockport College was not like that it was completely opposite I had an terrible time even till this day it has affected my confidence. If i could turn back time I wish I had better classmates and make alot of friends but that did not happen. So when someone ask me about my college experience I wont have a positive thing to say about my time there and all I had was a negative experience. I wont say its bad It all depends on the people you meet. Its like work if you have friends in work you dont mind coming in work you can get by easily but if you dont have anyone special to come to its harder you just work for the money but you dont get that positive feeling at the end. My Stockport College experience was bad I should have left earlier and gone to work and I would have made more money instead of sticking to the college and gaining nothing out of it. COMPLETELY A WASTE OF TIME AND COMPLETELY WASTE OF LIFE.
This college is one of the worst I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. They are not interested in teaching their students and I will be contacting Ofsted to find out why they are not shutting down this college. The students that attend here in my honest opinion and I have had a lot of experience with this college both as a student myself and as a business owner with staff attending the college.do not get trained properly but are almost completely left to their own devices to train themselves. I felt compelled to warn any student who wishes to attend this college that there are far better colleges in the borough than Stockport.
I have finished a nvq level 2 in bricklaying and everytime you go to the college to get your certificate you get nowhere with them it seems I have wasted 2 and a half years would not recomend this college they are way under staffed and have the worst communication i have ever seen and still i have no certificate and we are sorry is not good enough you have your poor reception team apologising for your mistakes very poor
The worst college I've ever attended. The teaching quality is abhorrent; the teachers are not qualified to teach the courses. We had a tutor called Nicky Nagy and she wasn't qualified to teach the course. I complained about the teaching via a formal complaint and instead of the matter being addressed professionally I was thrown out the college and made to go through a humiliating disciplinary process, which was really just one big circle jerk. This college truly needs to be shut down. They cost me such emotional stress, never mind the fees for the course, and made me waste an entire year that I feel the need to address each individual by name in this bad review who tried to put as much dirt on me as possible to justify my bizarre exclusion, so that wiser institutions know not to hire them: Nicky Nagy, Gemma Hawkley-Holt, Melanie Hargrave McComb, Mark Harris Deputy, Mike Potter Principal, and Louise Richardson Chariman. Don't come to this college. Read the newspapers!
