The staff were great, the museum was not great. Very small. It is dated. It is relevant to point out that Steyning is a small town, I have see bigger villages. So it's great it has a museum and it is free. It's in a strange location to, sort of hidden, with steps to it. There is a way you could get a wheelchair or buggy in, but is not obvious.
I popped into this museum and was greeted by two very friendly and informative people and the exhibits were interesting worth seeing if you are in the area
As a new resident of Steyning I'm very interested in its history. The museum does a stunning job in this. Very well laid out, the organisers clearly have a love of Steyning and a deep appreciation of history. So much to see and read, don't miss Steyning Man. Super friendly staff, always willing to delve into the museum's archives to find that elusive fact.
