Excellent experience, helpful and friendly staff
Liz is an absolute gem at Gibsons. Sales staff in Dunoon could learn a thing or 2 from her. Always welcomes with a smile, and she takes the time to talk you through all the products. A very knowledgeable person, and theres a comfort to be had in a sales person who actually knows their product. We have bought local here on many ocassions and will continue to go back based on this service. The products are really well priced and great quality too. Will be shopping here again. A great asset to the town.
I would just like to say the service from Andrew and his team at Steven Gibson Dunoon is too notch and cannot be faulted ... my cooker conked out and just with 1 phone call I had a brand new cooker a day later ... and great value for money too same price as across the water but keeping it local for our small businesses in town. Thanks again guys.
I have visited this shop on eight separate occasions in the eight years I've been living in Dunoon and while I'm fond of the Tiffany-style lamps on display in the window it's really the only positive thing I can say about the place. On each occasion I've visited I've found that the staff cannot be less interested in helping me and on the one occasion I found what I needed the price was nearly double that of the exact same product at another shop in town. Add to that the nuisance of their vans hogging the parking spaces on the high street and their drivers swearing at anyone who dares park to close and it's hard to understand how this place is still in business.
Problems with bathroom light/extractor fan blowing the fuse for lighting in the entire house. A Gibson's 'electrician' came out on Tuesday, looked at it, told me to replace the light fitting and left. Two minutes later the fuse went again. Today, two days later, they sent someone who put a note through the letterbox because they thought we were out, probably because there were no lights on! Duh. I went down to the shop to be told tough, basically, try another electrician. Avoid this shoddy, unhelpful trader.
Had just what I needed. Very professional staff good knowledge of the products in stock. Where fully aware of social distancing and had a good system in place.
Very good shop, helpful and friendly. Well stocked.
Really good. Electric problem in the morning, fixed in the afternoon. Can't get better than that.
