bought a punto from weatherwhites in feb this year, car started losing oil within a month, only leaking when the engine was hot, was forced to write a review to get their attention, they replaced the leaking sump with a new one only for this to be the wrong sump which in turn caused a low pressure oil warning, the right one was fitted but still a warning, back & forth from april till september, mechanic in weatherwwhites kept claiming it was the garage that fitted the new timing belt in early april that caused the oil warning, why it appeared when they had fitted the new sump is beyond me anyway was advised to get a electrican to look for a fault, i got one myself to a cost of £80, they dismissed his opinion of a mechanical fault, i then paid weatherwhites £120 for them to get a electrican, the fault reappeared two weeks after the repair and car was losing oil again, i was told by weatherwhites that if it was work done by them causing the fault they would refund me the £80 and £120 repairs, when this repair was done a tapping/thudding noise coming from the sump area appeared, it went in again 6 weeks later, i checked the dipstick on the morning it went in and it was half way down the dipstick, weatherwhites concluded that the sump only had 1 litre of oil in it which is false, i spoke to their mechanic who said it was a mechanical fault, i presume they flushed the sump and put fresh oil in it, the car now has no thudding noise and isnt leaking oil, i can only conclude that they knew that the original oil warning light was down to them but wouldnt admit it and im down £200 thanks to that, why all that hassle and cost to me, between march & late september it went in 8 or 9 times and 3 or 4 of those for a whole day. the car has done 12k in 7 months but that shouldnt have any bearing on the original fault as they agreed to fix it, also told by a weatherwhites/sterling employee that i shouldnt be using the car for deliverys, i paid for it i can use for whatever purpose i want. unfortunately i wont be using this garage ever again despite being reccomended by a friend. one final note, if you are planning on buying a car from weatherwhites to use for hire & reward , ie. taxi, fast food delivery, dont tell them otherwise they will cancel the 6 month warranty like they did with me, its only got a 6000 mile limit anyway not that they tell you that when you buy the car, they only fixed the sump because i complained about it several times. no mention about hire & reward exclusion on the website & no paperwork for the warranty and salesman was more intrested in getting my money than to mention anything important like a warranty exclusion. never again!!!

Very happy with the car I brought and the service I received. Had an issue after a week, ross arranged to pick the car up, their workshop repaired it and returned it to me the next day. Would recommend.
