A physiotherapy clinic based in Norton Lees, Sheffield.

Services offered include physiotherapy, sports massage, acupuncture and taping.

Story

Clinical experience includes NHS, football, rugby union, the Great North Run, occupational health, medico legal work and gym based rehabilitation.

We treat a varied number of conditions including back and neck pain, sciatica, arthritis, repetitive strain injuries, tendon pain and sports related injuries.

The first session involves a 45 minute appointment where we perform a full assessment identifying the problem, formulating a treatment plan, drawing up some home exercises and commencing some hands on treatment. From then on sessions are 30 minutes and the frequency will be guided by the nature of your complaint.

If you are unsure whether physiotherapy is right for you then please call and we will be happy to discuss over the phone.

Home visits available on request.

Started seeing Nick at Steel City Physiotherapy about a year ago for my shoulder. This then evolved into my elbow and I have now been signed off as 'fit' once again! It was a pleasure visiting Nick, he is professional and really 'knows his stuff'! My shoulder and elbow are like brand new once again! Over the course of the year, Nick has seen my whole family for differing injuries and all are now good. Any physiotherapy needs from now on, Nick at Steel City Physiotherapy will be my first call. Thanks Nick.
I started to see Nick after having glute and hip weaknesses following pelvic issues in pregnancy. Over the course of a couple of years I'd jumped between professionals without success, but I knew as soon as I met Nick I stood a much better chance with him to recover which I did!. Nick's approach to treatment was so personalised and well backed up by the extensive background he had. I liked that Nick would often reference X or Y study or research piece he'd been reading. Nick was also great to chat to and I always enjoyed visits. I really recommend his services
I’ve been to Nick countless times over the years as a regular customer seeking sports massages, including several occasions when I became injured in training for a particular event, and his services have been exceptional throughout. His insight and advice on recovery and prevention has been invaluable, and comes strongly recommended for anyone needing a physio!
I have been seeing Nick for a few months now . When I first reached out it was because of a troublesome back that had plagued me for over ten years . This had stopped me from partaking in all the sports I love and had lead to a very unhappy situation . I had gained weight and was very unhappy in my own skin. I had all but given up hope. After the first session I could feel the difference straight away. Nick provided me with activities I could do at home that would help ease the pain . Fast forward 6 months . I’m back playing the sport I love. I have lost nearly 14lbs and I can run further and faster than I could when I was 18. I have had a few issues along the way but Nick has always been there to help and get me back on track. Words can’t describe the difference this has made, not just to me but my entire family. I could never thank Nick enough for what he has done . It’s not an exaggeration to say Nick has changed my life. Highly recommend.. it’s never too late to make a change
Came to Nick after being hit off my bike. He's a great physio, helped me a great deal. Also, he was very friendly and engaging, had plenty of interesting converstations with him. Would highly recommend :
After a bit of a health scare I found Nick's details from passing by his sign on a lockdown walk. I contacted Nick and within days i'd got an appointment,identified the problem and after a few sessions was all sorted. Nick was patient , understanding and explained everything so clearly. Would definitely recommend Steel City Physiotherapy .
Nick has treated me for various issues including back, knee, foot and elbow injuries sustained whilst climbing and mountain biking. He is extremely professional, great value and provides excellent service. In the case of a foot injury his advice and physio work proved more useful than that of a number of consultants I had seen previously who had a much more bleak outlook and were discussing surgery etc, Nick fixed it in a couple of sessions. Further more, he is very encouraging of at home work including stretching and posture adjustment, meaning that for many issues only a few sessions are needed to get you back on track.
I saw Nick after damaging my foot during an ultra marathon. When I saw him, he treated the injury properly - concentrating on the calf which was part of the foot problem. His magic worked as I completed a 24 hour race this weekend with no injury problems at all. I've also previously used him for a sports massage when my legs were needing some assistance when training miles kicked in. Highly recommended.
I was looking for a physio after being referred by Bupa after a problem with my shoulder. Luckily steel city physio was only up the road from me and even better still nick managed to sceudule me an appointment for the same day I was referred. I felt better after my first session and only needed two more after that to get my shoulder back to being pain free again. Nick showed me some stretching techniques and explained how I can avoid getting the pain again. Great service by Nick. I would definelty recommend.
I can't speak highly enough of this place. I went to see Nick with a long running, niggly issue with my foot and he completely resolved it within just 3 sessions. Really nice guy too !

I needed physio to help me recover from a full knee replacement as I could hardly walk due to osteoarthritis in my knee and a stress fracture in my ankle. With Nick’s support and guidance I have been able to get back doing long walks again and get back doing all the exercise classes at the gym that I love. Would definitely recommend. Thanks Nick
