After reading Staverton was the top rated Garden centre in Sussex, I decided to visit.nnThey sell a wide selection of different plants, bird products, food & sweets, a large plant pot warehouse, a seed selection and many other items too many to mention.nnThe portable toilets which are located in the car park were very clean.nnI decided to go to their Cafe which was lovely, it did not disappoint. The staff were so kind in the cafe and their hot chocolate, cake and food were amazing and fairly priced overall. They were very attentive.nnThe only issue I had, was I couldn’t find soil here. As I wanted to grow some new plants from seeds. And compared to other places, I couldn’t find any selection of soil.nnOverall, this place was great, clean and tidy with pleasant staff.nnI think more clear signage to different sections may help and maybe on my return I will be able to locate the soil!
This is my new home I love it. The staff are so friendly and helpful lots of tips and always available to answer questions give planting advice and suggestions. They have saved me a fortune on plant loss and I have turned my front garden into a to an allotment the seedlings are strong and the drive through compost and gardening supplies like bark and top soil is a lifesaver for me as I can’t lift anything due to ill health. They are so willing to lend a hand in carrying things and I have been able to love gardening again. Delivery on larger items is great and the Christmas stuff is amazing and fantastic prices. My hubby loved his early Christmas present
I really recommend this nursery. The quality of the plants is very good, both in the flower and in the leaves. And we are also pleased with the plant pots we bought from them. They look good and were competitively priced. The staff are also helpful.nWe actually live in Southampton but try to call in when visiting our daughter who lives fairly near the nursery.
Always a great experience here. Staff are really friendly as well and ready to help. Wherever we go and we go to quite a few on our travels. Stavertons are the bench mark.nWe have not found a better place yet.
UPDATE:- 27/03/2023nnThis visit I had lunch here with three friends. The food is fantastic and all the staff were very friendly and the service very quick despite it being busy. Fish pie, chicken katsu curry and quiche was ordered and all of us each enjoyed our meal, red velvet cake to follow, absolutely delicious. Highly recommend eating here. Oh, the food was so inviting we ate and I had forgotten to take photos. Another visit is a must then .nnVisited here for the first time. Beautiful plants, very well set out, a real pleasure to walk around. I spent the most I've ever spent in a garden centre here! The prices were very reasonable, I just had a splurge for once .nnI was served by a young chap called Deano, who was brilliant, stayed calm during a small hold up, which wasn't his doing , he was very friendly and polite. I highly recommend this GC.
