Friends who visit regularly took us and we were amazed. Everything you need for a fabulous day out. Garden centre with beautiful plants & tropical , lots of cafés and craft shops. We then walked around the grounds and the Manor House which are very beautiful. We had a look in the old church which is used and it felt like being on a film set. Treat yourselves you won't be disappointed but check as I think they are closed on Mondays.
Interesting first time visit. The church is National Trust and very interesting with a helpful guide. The hall isn't open to the public normally but will be for a Christmas event in November.
Easy to get to, lots of parking reasonable charge. Lovely surroundings, quaint old buildings. Good nursery full of plants & gardening equipment. Nice leisurely walk around, plenty of shops/workshops with lovely artisan wares. Couple of cafes/restaurants with lovely, reasonable, food & drinks and friendly, helpful staff. Spent a several enjoyable hours there.
Wonderful setting and drive in. Sadly, the little “reclaim shop” was shut again as it always is whenever we visit? We’ve used the cafe before and always found it very good! There is an extensive choice of plants, but many are either dead or in need of TLC! I would suggest a more rigorous routine of watering?! I suspect but don’t know you may be under staffed?
A wonderful garden centre. The staff are always friendly and happy to help with any query, and it's very reasonably priced. My new purchase is already repotted and looking happy at home.
Such a great variety of plants and very well looked after. I took mum in her wheelchair and found everywhere really accessible. We had tea and cakes at the cafe and strolled around the grounds. Very impressed.
It's always a great day at Staunton Harold Nurseries... from great value for plants that are healthy and thriving, to a lovely slice of cake and a pot of tea, and the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. Definitely worth a visit if you are interested
A big garden centre with lots of choice. The indoor section with gifts/furniture is very run down and in need of refurbishment. Has a nice little cafe. The Ferrer's centre next door is also well worth visiting for a great selection of arts, crafts and gifts.
Such a lovely place. Great atmosphere. Perfect to meet friends. Really helpful guy at the aquatics centre. Just would like more space for facilities. My chair left no room for manoever in the toilets. Almost touched the doors on way in too. Saw lots of happy people at the stables area for refreshments. Think most would struggle with access to ladies. Apart from that, we loved it. Great food and drink. Beautiful attractive place.
If you're looking for some shubunkins, this is your place. Awesome to see so many shubunkins there. They have a few different sizes of shubunkin to choose from, so they have got you covered! I went for the 5 to 6 inch shubunkins, because they're perfect for me. Out of all the places I've seen with shubunkins, this is definitely the best one. I will be getting all of my shubunkins from here from now on. Safe shubunkin-ing everyone!
