Found this little gem off a eating restaurant just off the M74. Amazing welcome from the young lady behind the bar. Placed in a booth which had plenty room. The place is spotlessly clean. Even the toilets which is usually not the best but I just had to prove these guys clean everywhere. The food for lunch is a restricted menu. But still a nice selection. Can fault my fish n chips. Nice and crispy fish and chips triple cooked. Plenty parking also. Don't bypass the hidden gem folks. We definitely going back if your passing.
A historic building and the incredible creativity of the person who created the restaurants in this place. Interior very calm with a friendly atmosphere. Comfortable seats, atmosphere and accents telling the history of this place allow you to feel comfortable and original. We visited this place on a summer evening before the weekend. I only ordered Churros, wanting only dessert. If the food offered in this place is as delicious as the Churros then I will be coming back for sure. If you are visiting Gretna, Scotland or just passing through Gretna, you are only a 6-minute drive from here
Lovely and recently renovated pub / restaurant in a cute little village not far from the M6/A74 2 mins off the on/off ramp. We were searching for a dog friendly place to have dinner with my mum and my spaniel and this place ticked all the boxes. The menu was varied enough although one piece of feedback is it could do with a few more vegetarian options and the food was delicious! We had to phone in advance as the kitchen was technically closing before we arrived but this wasn’t a problem and they were incredibly friendly and flexible about this. All of the staff we met at The Station were all absolutely fantastic; the service was incredible and they were all so accommodating and lovely. My dog ripley got treats, a water bowl and cuddles from multiple staff which made our dinner all the more lovely. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone living or passing through the area especially if you have a dog!
Had drinks here , unfortunately the restaurant was booked up and rather than risk a bad experience for us and other by overstretched kitchen had to decline us but did provide information on local take outs who would deliver as none in Kirkpatrick Flemming. Very good quality fit out and finish, food looked and smelt amazing so will be sure to book in advance next time in the area. Guinness was lovely.
First visit & not disappointed. After moving house that day we were looking for food. The landlady apologetically told us she was full for food but after explaining our predicament she kindly squeezed us in if we didnt mind a wait. It was well worth waiting for. The pie of the month steak & haggis was a proper pie not these flimsy types with just a lid, the lasagne was a rich & meaty homemade offering not a reheated sloppy affair you often get in the branded chains. Unfortunately theyd run out of our preferred pudding but the toffee pudding was out of this world.
Fantastic service, staff, surroundings, food, nothing to fault. Definitely Recommend
The food here is amazing, excellent quality and very well cooked. The interior and exterior is very nice. The menu selection is very good. We had Sunday lunch and it was the best ever Sunday dinner. We would definitely recommend and definitely return
Booked for 11 people. Pre-booked our meals ahead of time. Everything was available. Staff very accommodating and knowledgeable of all allergens. They went above and beyond and excelled themselves. Fantastic atmosphere and interior decoration. Dog friendly. Would have given 10stars if allowed. Kid-friendliness: Two kid three course meals ordered. Parking: Parking to side of restaurant. Plenty of parking spaces available. Disabled parking very considerable. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair and disabled access through side door of restaurant. Dietary restrictions: Staff very knowledge of all allergens and very accommodating. I have severe nut allergy and they went out of their way to ensure I knew what I could and couldn't have.
Gorgeous food and brilliant service! First time in years I've actually left a pub/restaurant full! Kids ate a lot more than usual aswel which I was amazed by. Will definitely visit again if we're ever back in the area. Food: 5/5
Sunday lunch was very well cooked, well presented and served. The refurbishment has created a modern but warm and comfortable ambiance. Will certainly recommend and revisit. Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of space for manoeuvre. The corridor leading to the disabled toilet is wide, light and spacious. Level entry from the car park. Dietary restrictions: We were asked about dietary requirements when we booked, these were noted and acted upon.
