Prices are absolutely disgusting, large bag of chips wasn't a large at all. £14 for 2 chips and 3 dips. I nearly swallowed my tongue easier than the actual chips that were served. Chips under done and still raw in middle, curry sauces had lumps in it. When paying these prices you expect a better standard of service. Next time I'd like a chippy up in Newton Stewart I'll be travelling to the next town. Cash only taken in shop is definitely a tax grab. Honestly poor service, poor food, poor price.
Great food and service, prices may vary with your order, same order multiple times but always cheaper than on the board. Great service always friendly. None greasy, freshly prepared food. Our go too chippy in newton stewart.
Possibly the worst fish and chips that I have ever had the misfortune of tasting and believe me I have tasted many. The batter on the fish was like cutting through cardboard and the taste was just as bad. The chips were soggy and tasteless. How this place survives is beyond me. Dreadful eating experience.
Large chips about 50!, battered sausage and small curry sauce. £10.nChips were reheated and poor. Sausage batter was dripping in grease. Sauce was ish.nClean shop but wow the prices for what you get are extortionate.nAvoid.
Worst chippy I think I’ve ever been to. I paid £4.50 for sausage and chips and the portion of chips was small. Once I open it I realised it was just full of small hard chips, basically scraps that should go in the bin! I could only eat the sausage and about 4 or 5 chips, the rest had to go in the bin. Originally I wasn’t going to get chips but when I asked how much it was for a sausage they said £3….. £3 for a sausage??!! How the hell do they come up with these prices. I should have learn my lesson when I tried this place a few days earlier when I bought a cheese and tomato pizza. The dough was thick and undercooked, probably because there was a ridiculous amount of cheese on the pizza. I love cheese but the amount they put on it was ridiculous and it just ruined it. It’s safe to say I won’t be returning to this place!
