Visited this site around closing time. Staff seemed more interested in completing the close rather than serving customers. The lady who served me seemed very tough faced, like an old school headmistress/matron. No warm smiles. I have no idea what the service is like during the day, but avoid the close at all costs. There also seemed a limited amount of food available. I don't believe in naming and shaming any staff, but the service needs to improve.

Staff are not too welcoming .... in fact the older lady serving me was getting agitated, as I was considering what cake to pick from the lovely extensive selection available. She kept saying "anything else" clearly when she could see I was bending down to look at the cakes...... Lots of younger staff sitting around and not any eye contact or a smile for customers from anyone of them. Must have been training event here today, as there was a guy/trainer working with them. He was very welcoming and smiley . . so hopefully the staff will follow his lead, having had a good role model vist the coffee shop. Rating: must try harder .....k

Bit dirty, overpriced coffee, quick service, but foods alright, my chocolate frappe was rubbish though, so I would give 2 stars but whole family rate 4

mugs are basic ..spoils the experience. space is large but poorly decorated..cold and dark..need to be more cosy . staff are friendly but needs more training in coffee making.. pastry needs better care .was cold and hard.

This site has just opened so thought we would try it. Building is very pleasant and inviting. Small queue when we walked in but this soon grew. I looked around and there was 5 members of staff trying to serve but only one on the till. The guy on the till was also being trained. I looked about and a lot of the table with the cusioned chairs were dirty with dirty mugs and plates on them. A lady who appeared to be a manager was also on site was telling her staff to keep the queue flowing but no one was cleaning tables. She was not in uniform and appeared to be in on her day off enjoying a coffee. Once we placed our order the food and drinks came our fast. After balancing our drinks and food on our laps we decided to ask a member of staff to clear the table. They did promptly after we had to ask. I will try this site again once the staff have settled in to their roles and have a better routine in place.
