Story

The Highfield is a family run hote, bar and Thai restaurant situated in East Rainton, Tyne & Wear on the A690 with excelent transport links to Durham, Sunderland & Newcastle. Within the hotel we have the longest established Thai restauant in the North East with over 20 years in the industry.

Fantastic restaurant, amazing Thai food every time, bursting with flavour and fresh meat and vegetables. Very high quality. Fast, welcoming service and good drinks. Perfect every time. Been going for years.
Blown away by the atmosphere, a cozy yet charming restaurant with many options of Thai Cuisine. Service was quick and the staff are lovely. Definitely will be returning.

Just got back from this wonderful restaurant, it was a father's day treat from daughter Carol and her husband. The atmosphere was brilliant lots of people enjoying themselves and celebrating. Not too busy just comfortable. The food was devine, as always and reasonable. The staff are the most friendly and professional, always a nice welcome, service is very efficient. It's the kind of place you always want to return to. Can't wait for our next visit.
We visited on a Sunday and it was quiet. We went off the special menu and it only cost us £20 per person including drinks.nnThe food was very good, as always and the servers are very friendly. I got Dim Sums to start and finished with the Basil and Chili.
